Yeah, the more I look on here the more I see what kinds of issues are with cars. You know toyota is a really really well built car, and they last a very very very long time when maintained correctly, changing the oil every 3 months or 3,000 miles, keeping tuneups yearly, changing transmission flluids as manufacturer recommended, and all those things. those cars and trucks are built to last. I owned a used 1974 toyota corolla once and when I got it it had 150,000 miles on it, and didn't need any motor work at all. I drove that thing in forever it seemed.. at least until it was totalled when it was wrecked, and I got more for the car from the insurance company than what I actually paid for it when I got it. I put a rear end in the car when I got it, brakes, and i drove it for like 2 1/2 yrs and put alot more miles on it than it already had... I put the odometer to over 300,000 miles from the 150,000 it had when i got it, and man that thing ran sooo goood. I blew a head gasket the second year I had it and the mechanic at toyota told me that the engine was soo clean inside and the head was in excellent shape valve wise that he wanted to buy the car but I woulnd't sell it to him. LOL. anyway, my point is, yeah toyota's are a little more cost, but they are sooooooooo worth the purchase if you are looking for a new car. Nissan is next in line afterwards. But I drive a Nissan truck now, and i would gladly trade it for a Toyota anytime at all. Even an old one... lol. Happy hunting for your new car.
