IAT Sensor Circuit High Input Print this code dataprint_icon_codes.gif Number of Trips to Set Code: 1
OBD II Monitor Type: CCM Details
Indicators: MIL Details

Trouble Code Conditions:
Check with ignition on or engine running; battery voltage more than 10v; The PCM detected the IAT Sensor input was over 4.90v (exc. Dakota, Durango, Ram) or 4.98v (Dakota, Durango, Ram) for 3 seconds.

Possible Causes:
  • IAT Sensor signal circuit shorted to VREF (5v)
  • IAT Sensor signal circuit is open, or the ground circuit is open
  • IAT Sensor is damaged or it has failed (an internal open circuit)
  • PCM has failed

Check for the computer codes. It can point to the cylinder that is miss firing. Could be a bad injector. Do a cylinder balance.

p0300 is on all cars, with this code, misfire random.
p0305 (typo) is cylinder 5 , only misfiring.
