Have 1999 olds intrigue idles fine but put it in gear and hit gas wants to stall untils you let of gas pedal then idles fine

Find your throttle body (it's under the plastic cover):



The Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) is on its backside. Here it is with the manifold off (just for a better view, you don't need to remove the manifold):

When did you last change the spark plugs, distributor cap, ignition wires, ignition coil, fuel filter, or the fuel pump? Any one of these could causing your care to stall. Also, have you been using regular gas or premium as premium gas can cause your engine to not combust properly if it wasn't designed for premium

First you need to do is get the trouble code out of the computer this will get you in the right area of the problem then you can trouble shoot it.Sounds like it could be a EGR valve stuck in the open position.
