Heating up

Ever since new I've notice my H3 temp guage runs close to the 1/4 mark right before H on the temp gauge, have aftermarket diagnostic box on my H3 and the latest temp was 217 is this normal, I've added a tranny cooler and was told that the air does not circulate, so I will be removing tranny cooler drove an 08 H3 rental and the gauge never move over the 1/2 on gauge, any suggestions??

I have the same problem,but my h3 only started to do this about 2 weeks ago (approx 23000 miles) but the temp gauge goes up and down but gets very hot at idle when stopped, also I have a loss of power and idle isnt constant, ranges between 750 and 1000rpm. the car feels like **** and not much fun to drive at all, I dont think it could be maintainance issue as ive had it serviced every 3000 miles (5000kms) with synthetic oil not the mineral stuff,
