Very possibly OK! These engines are listed as an interference design but they rarely have damage. Most engines will have damage to the valves due to the pistons running into them, On this engine, the risk comes from the valves getting out of time and running into each other. Unless the engine was turning very high revs when the belt broke, the valves are probably OK. You must be very careful not to bend the valves when you are installing the new belt however, because when you're turning the cams to their proper timing, you have to make sure you do it in such a way that they don't hit during that process. You may also find that the belt didn't even break, rather just became derailed. The timing belt tensioners on these engines were faulty and have been updated by chrysler. They are a pain to do and there is a new timing cover to install that fits the new tensioner.
