Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC27. The cleaner should recline easily into the vacuuming position when one foot is placed on the cleaner head, and the handle is lowered. If it's not doing this, it might be worth using a little more force than usual, in case the upright lock mechanism has jammed. If this doesn't help, or if you're reluctant to try this, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you, and provide further assistance. You can call us free on 08002980298 - our Helpline is open from 7am until 10pm, 7 days a week.

Kind regards,

Cant get the front of the dyson to flip down to do upright hoovering is there some sort of lock on it?

Hi there,

To lower the cleaner head into the vacuuming position, you should be able to place one foot on the side of the cleaner head and tilt the upper body backwards, as shown in the user guide:

http://media.dyson.com/downloads/uk/floorcare/manuals/dc33_uk_manual_260710.pdf

If you're unable to do this, please get in touch with us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US), so we can run through some checks over the phone.

Hi i have just been given a dysondc07 hepa could anyone tell me how to release the upright handle as to start hoovering it seems to be stuck upright thus unable to commence

Take off the power cord from its two hangers, depress the coloured clip above the power switch and the wand will lift out along with the back telescopic hose.

Dyson Rollerball wont clikc into unpright position.

I've just had the same problem! The small metal poles either side of the red push bar at the bottom of the hoover should both be in a groove/runner. The problem is that one or both of the metal poles has popped out of the runner and is stuck in one of the holes next to the runners. Gently pull the red bar from the hoover and pop the metal attachment back into the groove. Problem solved :)

After hoovering yesterday my dyson ball wont stand up right.

solved this today by folding the upright part back as far as it would go, and wiggling it a little. It clicked back into place.

Just stopped mid hoovering and now won't switch on!

It is probably a thermal cut-off which is caused by a blockage. The machine will turn itself off before it overheats if it is a thermal cut-off. Once it has cooled down, you will be able to turn it back on again (usually 30 mins - 1 hour).

If the machine doesn't turn on at all anymore, you may need to replace the power switch. Call the Dyson helpline, they will do a blockage troubleshoot and if it's not that, they will tell you where you can find an authorized Dyson repair dealer in your area.
