Kettler has a great customer service staff. Contact them for further assistance. I went to their website and all it shows is to push up on the parental lock in front of the childs steering wheel to unlock it. They did not show any FAQ's pages with any info on what to do if it gets stuck. Hope this helps.

Ignition stuck in lock position

Have you tried taking the pressure off the steering lock by turning the wheel a little? It should move slightly in one direction or the other.

How do I fix the parent steer bar on the radio flyer model 48 trike?

I would suggest finding someone who is accustomed to fixing metal equipment. There's nothing special about the trike that requires specific tools or knowledge.

2009 HHR Standard (not automatic) Key Stuck in Ignition

FYI this is now a free dealer fix--Service Bulletin--not a recall. chevy sent letters reregarding issue. Mine was the lock cylinder housing was faulty, the piece that holds the springs to the pieces in for the key shape poped out. temp fix is you can unplug wiring harness under steer wheel to disable the car and remote will still lock door and alarm still works. Of course mine went out on a saturday afternoon. you can remove the lock cylinder yourself and take to locksmith, they can fix the cylinder probably for under 10 bucks. i luv it a 16000 car stuck because 1/8" by 1/2" piece of metal comes loose.

The ignition switch is stuck in the start position..How do i fix it.........and the key pulls right out.........?????????

Well, this is a very time consuming fix, you have to take the steering wheel off, the lock plate, the turn signal switch and than you should see the "locking pin" inside the steering column, look for any broken pieces or something blocking the gears. if you need any further assistance please feel free to e-mail me directly [email protected] Please, if you do not know what you are doing dont try, this could compromise the safety of you're vehicle, take it to a licenced mechanic if you dont know how to do it for you're own safety.

Kettler Air Navigator Tricycle

My husband and I just put this trike together and had a similar problem - the front wheel always turned the pedals and we couldn't figure out how to stop this. The manual for the trike is awful and very hard to understand. After spending a LOT of time analyzing the pictures and doing all sorts of weird things to the pedals, I found a posting on a website that said they'd had the same problem, but had removed and re-attached the front wheel and the problem was suddenly fixed. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, we noticed that in one of the manual's pictures that the air valve for the front tire was facing the other direction - we'd actually put the tire on backwards. I took the tire off, put it back on facing the other way, and suddenly it all works as it's supposed to.

The thing is, you actually don't have to "do" anything to change from free to fixed and keep the pedals stable. If my daughter pushes the pedals around, they move around, and if she keeps her feet steady on them, the wheel continues to go around while the pedals stay put. It truly is automatic, which the diagram in the manual does a terrible job of conveying.

Hope this helps someone. We like this trike, but the directions are beastly!
