My Husqvarna designer SE is not telling me bobbin is empty

Hello, Dene -

Go to this Husqvarna Viking Desinger SE Troubleshooting website:
http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/SiteMedia/Products/Machines/Support/Designer_SE_Troubleshooting_EN.pdf

Scroll down Page 1 to the section with the heading "Bobbin Alarm Does Not Work? Follow the instructions there.

If those steps do not get your bobbin sensor back in working order, I suspect you will need to have the bobbin sensor repaired by an authorized Husqvarna Viking sewing machine repair service.

I suggest you contact the Husqvarna Viking sewing machine dealer nearest you and ask about authorized repair businesses.

You can also contact Husqvarna Viking directly:

What size bobbin goes in the Husqvarna Oscar 130 sewing machine?

It must fit snugly but easily spin. Also, when it sets inside the bobbin case it must be under the outside rim. The best thing to do is remove the bobbin case and take it with you where you purchase your sewing tools and compare it with the new bobbin and ask for assistance if you need.

Husqvarna viking sewing machine bobbin

Could the part number be 4011770? I've found the Viking 7 bobbins here: http://www.mysewingmachineparts.com/top-quality-metal-sewing-machine-bobbins-4011770-husqvarna-viking/ . Another site with them is http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bobbin-viking-4011770.aspx . This bobbin is compatible with the Husqvarna Viking 7, 49, 51, 52, 21 & 21E . It probably will work for other machines. Sears also has them listed as 11770: http://www.sears.com/generic-viking-sewing-machine-bobbins-sewing-machine/p-SPM6124767105?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1 .

I also found these bobbins: http://www.amazon.com/Viking-Metal-Bobbins-5-pkg/dp/B000YZ5QSC . The part number appears to be 1702.

I hope this helps.

I HAVE A HUSQVARNA 415 SEWING MACHINE. I AM LOOKING FOR THE NAME OF THE PART THAT YOU PUT THE BOBBIN INTO. I ORDERED A BOBBIN HOLDER, BUT THAT IS NOT IT.

The bobbin fits into a bobbin case (holder), the bobbin case is what you take out to put a new bobbin in. The bobbin case fits into the hook (it has a spindle in the center) which you do not take out of the machine unless you are doing maintenance. If you just ordered a bobbin holder, it could be for another machine. you must get a case made for the machine, a generic one will not work.

I have a Husqvarana 950E sewing machine/ how to wind the bobbin?

I can't recall just where the bobbin winder mechanism is located on this model. It might be on the front/top right-hand side, like on the 600 series and the Designer series??? If so, go to this website:
http://www.sewmuch4retirement.com/tips/threadingbobbin.html
This shows the Designer 1 machine, but the basics would be the same.

Thread balls up underneath my feed dog when straight sewing. Why?????

Could be needle/hook timing. With machine off do the following to check timing -

remove bobbin and bobbin case.
push needle all the way to the left.
Turn handwheel toward you watching the needle and bobbin housing hook. The point of the hook should line up right above the eye of the needle.

If not timing, clean bobbin area and thread cutter area, removing lint and thread.
Check bobbin tension, should get slight resistance when pulling thread.
Make sure using only Husqvarna Viking bobbins -- most are green but they have new colors now. All will have the Husqvarna logo on them (an H). Make sure the bobbin is unwinding counter clockwise when going through the bobbin case.
Remove fabric. Pull extra long bobbin thread (about 3 inches). Hold upper thread tail in left hand, turn handwheel toward you for 1 revolution. Is the bobbin thread caught by the top thread and pulled through the opening of the needle plate?

If you are still unable to sew without thread balling up, take to an authorized Husqvarna Viking dealer for service or have them send to Husqvarna Viking (SVP) Technical Service Dept for repair. A list of dealers close to you can be found at the Husqvarna Viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Good luck.

Sewing machine husqvarna 3610 bobbin case spring has broken and the bobbin will not stay in the machine. How do I repair the spring?

You probably will need to replace the bobbin case. It is probably only available from Husqvarna Viking. You can find the nearest dealer by click on the "Dealer" link at http://www.husqvarnaviking.com
Good luck.
