Sanyo projector began making a humming noise when running

My projector began making a humming noise whenever it is running and though it is not extremely loud and the picture has not changed, something seems to be broken or lose. I can not feel any significant vibration from the projector either which I read is one of the signs that the colorwheel needs to be replaced. I do not want to buy one unless I am absolutely sure that I need it as I am a poor college student.
Please help!
Andrew

Its probably the fan inside is loose, try cleaning the fan. or press the machine by your hand to where the sound is coming from, then you will know if there is a loose screw

My samsung dishwasher has a constant buzz that occurs during start up and lasts through all of the cycles. I saw where there is an electrical noise filter and did not know if that could be the cause.

No a noise filter is a different kettle of fish. That stops electrical interference noise from affecting your television, radios and electrical devices.

The most likely source of the hum is the start capacitor on the motor, or the motor itself.

This has a different idea

Humming or Grinding If your Samsung dishwasher makes noise when starting that sounds like a low hum, it's part of normal function. The motor makes this sound as it operates throughout the wash cycle. However, a dishwasher making loud humming noise or grinding sounds could mean that debris is caught in the drain pump.

Samsung Dishwasher Making Noise? Follow These Tips

This says the drain pump, but the drain pump only runs to empty out so it wouldn't do it all the time.

Humming noise and now the projector does not work

To get the humming noise to stop when listening to your iPod while it's docked, you have to use the projector feature AND keep the backlight on on your iPod. My projector stopped working and I'm trying to figure out how to get it going again (replace the bulb?) so I can stop the humming noise again. The unit is not being made anymore, probably because of this problem.

Fan making noise

Are you sure its a fan, dust out the fans.
If its not the fans you may have a power supply going out and causing some induction hum in the unit. Sometimes, but rarely, through the built in speaker.

Horrible noise

it is the color wheel i have a similar problem and am looking for the part, the color wheel is a small electric motor that spins at a high speed and it can go bad. which will lead to the horrible squeel/hum/buzz.
