Stainless steel coffee maker

When i turn on the maker, nothing happens. The machine does not activate the water to heat and flow through the coffee.

I cannot get the on/off swtich to activate i.e. the unit will not turn on. It seems the as though the on/off rocker switch is just broken or there is some internal reset issue. No amount of "jiggling" will activate the unit, but if i leave it alone for some amount of time it will work-once than the process begins anew. This is not an issue a caffeine junkie needs at 6:00am.

Here is the basic troubleshooting for the Cuisinart coffee makers:
Make sure all baskets are in proper place – especially if unit is beeping.
Do not use a paper and a gold-tone or other permanent filter at the same time.
Unplug for LONGER THAN 15 full minutes to reset.
Clean by brewing 2 oz of distilled white vinegar/2 oz water.
If these methods fail, the unit probably requires replacement – call Cuisinart as they have a longer-than-standard warranty.

I just purchased a Bialetti stainless steel 6-cup stove top espresso maker. I cleaned it, assembled it according to the instructions, and went to brew my first coffee. I didn't grind the coffee too fine,...

There is a valve in the compartment where you place your fresh, cold water. This valve must not be covered as it is necessary in building up steam pressure to push the brewed espresso upwards. Also, most stove espresso makers have a rubber type gasket that is usually placed on the base of the upper part of the maker. Check that you have a gasket.

My 10 cup Bunn coffee maker leaks from the top of the water resevoir, from the right top side and from the back top. It looses aprox. 2 cups of water onto my counter while brewing. What has happened to...

I have the same problem and I took the coffee maker apart to find out why. It has to do with a leak on a fitting. On mine I found that the fitting where the hole in the black plastic that the water flows through to get into the stainless steel tank needed to be repaired with some silicone sealant to fix the leak. Still making some coffee!

Brand new Gaggia Syncrony Compact will not pump water. Red light no. 27 flashes, and machine makes sounds as if trying to pump.

Open the hot water valve, if it flows for a second and stops, then pusi in on the knob if that works, call up support and ask for a new stainless steel valve for your machine.

Water is leaking, while the machine heats water for steaming

The steam valve tap rod needs to be replaced, or check machine if it has a plastic steam valve, Gaggia designed a new Stainless steel steam valve for the compact machine.
