Picture has green tint

Our home came with a media room with a Sano Multimedia projector model PLV-60HT. It has worked great but some teenagers came over and pressed the input button trying to turn it on without permission. Anyway, we could not get a picture on either the cable box or the DVD player. I figured out that it needed to be set back to input 2 which is what all the cable wires are hooked into. Now the cable is back on but the whole screen is green instead of regular color of the what is playing. I tried going to the contrast and ajusting all the settings but nothing works. Any help would be appreciated.

This is most likely an issue with the cabling. Check that all the cables are inserted correctly and display a picture you are familiar with. Try "wriggling" the connectors as you view the image to see if there is a poor connection.

The problem could be that one of the LCD's is dying and thus affecting the hue.

After replacing the bulb on my 60 by, I have red and green hosting around images.

I have the same problem. I just replaced my 9 year old lamp with a new one from a seller on Amazon (for only $88) but the ghosting and red/green misconvergence is still apparent, especially on standard definition DVDs played on a BLU-ray player through the Sanyo projector.
I found where a poster on an Australian board wrote that he was able to make adjustments using a service manual to get the red and green LCDs back in alignment. He describes it here:

Green verticle line on right side of image

Your color convergence is out of adjustment. You can adjust yourself with a service manual telling you how, or take it to service shop and pay about $400.

reset the settings to factory default. could be lack of resolution matching. as for physically, the mirrors in the optical engine need realignment. very long and difficult job.

Projector displaying yellow tint in center of screen.

The yellow tint is probably coming from the lens. It could be that the glass is tempered or possibly just needs to be cleaned.

Sanyo projector began making a humming noise when running

Its probably the fan inside is loose, try cleaning the fan. or press the machine by your hand to where the sound is coming from, then you will know if there is a loose screw

PLV-Z1 no longer powering up - Ready light is green and the Lamp light is red

I have a Sanyo XU35. Mine was starting up and showed a picture for about 15 - 30 seconds then shutting down. My lamp warning light was not coming on. When I put it in for repairs it turned out to be the lamp that needed replacing. The technician said it is not uncomman for the lamp to be gone and the lamp warning light not to come on. I got my lamp on e-bay from ping_ngo for a great price.
