KitchenAid Superba - oven heating problems

Hi,
We've had the Superba for 7 years - worked well for about the first 3 months, and then nothings seems to have gone right since, despite having multiple service calls.

Convection heating never seems to work properly, heating is uneven and unpredictable. While in convection, buns, cookies, pizzas, cakes or the like: the outside of the items seem to be close to overcooked, while the insides are undercooked.

When you don't use convection, there are serious hotspots as items will be burned in the back, requiring to turn the item constantly to avoid burning.

The infinity switch on the dual burner (front left) seems to never allow you to regulate the heat when using just the smaller burner. While I've pointed this out a number of times when under warranty, it never got fixed - is it just the switch that is wonky on these?

Anyhoo, any suggestions would be helpful - I'm looking at moving on to another brand - any suggestions as to what is a reliable brand? I'm sure not happy with KitchenAid or the service.

SOURCE: Oven with convection - when baking cookies, cakes,

Set the temperature one position higher. Convection ovens have a more even heat spread so if you used to bake at the top of your old oven it will now be slightly lower temperature

SOURCE: I have GE profile Self

Hi

It seems that the model no is not correct however, after reading your post the issue seems to be with a bad relay on the control board. As you have already replaced the element and the sensor so the electronic control board should be replaced to solve this issue. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I have a KitchenAid Superba KEMC308KSS0 that is about 9 years old. In the past few months it has been cooking really slowly. Whereas in the past, in convection mode, things cooked faster than...

I have a Superba built-in YKEBS 177 D56 ( dual convection/convention)...I think it might be about 10 years old. I noticed the same thing starting last year..the temperature seems a litlle off and the cook time on the convention seems to take longer. I've never used the conventional oven so I don't know if the temperature is OK on that component.
I don't have a manual. and I've been searching for it...does anyone know which one I need?
Sorry I couldn't help with your problem, mine is similar to your though!!

Kitchenaid superba electric oven kebc107kss05

Did this with me twice now on self clean. It's the thermostat on the back of the oven. Set to trip when oven gets too hot which happens with self clean. Part is about $45 - $50 and pretty simple to install. Hardest part is pulling the oven out of the wall.
