Well not sure that you posted this in the right section. If you are talking about a Rand Mcnally TND 710, then yes it won't give you text to speeech, that feature is not in the 710 the 720 or even the 510 or 520.
Try this and see if it helps. Before you run the update on it run the diagnostic and repair feature on the unit first.Then disconnect the unit from the computer and let it boot up. Any errors in the system should be caught by the repair process, once you have done that then shut the unit off and hook it up to your computer again then do the update, once the update is done run diagnostic and repair again. I have a 710 that is just stubborn and i usually find the error in the userinit file. This works with my unit but no guarantees on it.
yes you can hammer and chisel when you get tiered run over with truck throw in trash and by a cobra it always works ive hgad 3 tnd 710 and all did the the same after 3 months of use thgey cant fix they just want more money
Your TND 700 has internal file corruption.You may be able to take it back where you bought it for repair or exchange, or if you have a full backup on your computer,you may be able to restore the unit using the usb cable.
