You have a short in the wiring harness

Check for a switch on the back of the display - you will need to remove the display to get at the switch.

Start with checking the voltage output from the battery.

Steve, the Ex-79 should be very quite. I am surprise to learn yours is making Squeaky Noise. I think there was some problem with your assembly. How long do you have this trainer? does is make sound when you put your weight on a specific footpadel (like left or right)?

My temporary solution would be to lub up your trainer. Please call horizon regarding you issue on 800.244.4192 (or you can email: [email protected]).

1) adjust magnet with the bolt looses with a wrench, tight very well.
2) proof the magnet for attraction or repulsion with the magnet from your refrigerator, if NOT pass the test replace it.

must be not align, to due some bend. Try to adjust it with some little hammer and fix it.

Had same problem. I called horizon and after troubleshooting, they could not solve and replaced the entire circuit board. I was under warranty , so i was fortunate to not have to pay for one.
