No cord and instruction book

Okay my sister bought herself a brand new mp3 player and she doesn't know how to get songs on it. I was wondering if this one is supposed to come with a cord and instruction book or if you are supposed to get them separately?

First, you need to ensure that the switch on the side is set to OFF...

then if you have Windows Media Player 9 and (Windows 2000 and before ie Windows ME/98) ,
Second, Hit the M Button and Make sure that you have the player set to USB

Third Here's a manual here: http://www.gpx.com/owners_manuals/MW3847-IB.pdf

but then if you have Windows Media Player 10, 11 (Windows XP, Vista)
Hit the M Button and Make sure that you have the player set to MTP

and if you have no Windows Media Player ...
Hit the M Button and Make sure that you have the player set to USB
copy your music mp3 files using windows explorer or my computer

The model you aks about should have come to you with both manual and USB cord. you may find a generic typeA to typeB USB will work though. When connected open Media player and click the tab SYNC to copy music to the device (you can also lower the compression as you don't need CD quality for earphones/mp3, this will give you extra space for songs on your mp3 player)

I bought my niece an mp3 Logik player, unfortunately we cannot get it to load any songs. It says it has loaded okay but we cannot get any music to play from the mp3. What are we doing wrong? Jackie

It is all about the format of the songs. Make sure that the songs are in MP3 format. The instructions should specify what formats it will play.

Bought a new MP3 player. ECLIPSE is the brand from Kmart. and it says device isn't installed properly. It didn't come with a disc or anything? What do I do?

Connect the mp3 player to a computer. So, you'll need a download cable if you don't already have one. These cables are easily available at any retail store, and most department store clerks know exactly which cable you need. Next, I would go to eclipsemp3.com on the internet to learn a little information about your mp3 player. Then go to eclipsemp3manual.com to learn how to download software, songs, or what ever you want to put on the mp3 player. Simply follow the instruction for device set-up, once you get connected to the computer, and your mp3 will become installed properly. Have fun with your new mp3 player!!!

My mp3/4 player only plays a few seconds of each song.

The new songs are in a format not recognized by the player - either DRM-encrypted WMA's or iTunes format. Download songs in mp3 format only, and you will no longer have this probelm - available from Rhapsody's Mp3-Only Service (make sure you choose the right subscription), Limewire, and a handful of others.

How do I add songs to my Sony Walkman NWZ...?

Windows Explorer works! - Just put the MP3 files in the "MUSIC" folder when the drive letter shows up after you plug it in - I found that WMP can see mine but doesnt like to do anything with it as far as transferring files.. Look again in the Fixya page for this model player as I just listed how to convert videos correctly also. [email protected]
