Due to battery change, my security radio code has gone. On removing the radio to obtain the requested serial number, the label on top lists 2 numbers, neither of which appear to be the 14 digit number requested; The numbers are as follows 13 138 246 also 330 88 6636 and CDR(2005(E) can you advise on which one is the actual serial number. Thanks

Changed battery then no radio

Newer cars have radios with security codes. If they lose power (such as if a thief steals it), they lock and require a code to be inserted to reset it. The car dealer provides the code at purchase for the radio it is usually on a card or paper included with the owner manual and other papers. If it is not there, you will most likely need to contact a dealer to find out what information you need to supply them to get an unlock code. Sometimes it is the VIN; other times it is the radio serial number. That may require removal of the unit to obtain.

I need 1999 ford escort radio code

The radio will  have to be extracted from the dashboard in order to obtain the Serial Number found on a label on the radio casing .

POST ANOTHER QUESTION

quoting this Serial Number and your code will be calculated.

=====================================================

Here is a video showing how to remove your radio from the dashboard. A pair of extractors are required (available from Ebay , or Radio Store ) but these can be made from 2 pieces of bent, wire coat-hanger or 4 small drills(using the blunt end)  or 4 small Allen Keys or 4 small screwdrivers or 4 nails or even 4 darts.

An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4 securing clips

Blaupunkt radio security code not working on my Holden Astra

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST ANOTHER QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number

If not then try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive
