If you're asking how to clean the inner workings of the humidifier ... Run a 50/50 solution of White Vinegar and Water through it. Then flush it with Bottled Distilled Water. As a matter of fact, using Bottled Distilled Water all the time, will cut down on having to clean the unit as often. Distilled water has no minerals and will not produce scale, like tap water.

Check the drain- make sure it is not plugged due to the calcium in the water. May be plugged.
check for any cracks or misalignment on the plastic water tank.

the rusted sensors are the cause of your problem - as soon as the sensors do not conduct an electric current through the water (either because there is no water or because they have decayed), the humidifier shuts itself off.
