You can check this page, or you need to ask around in the various Linux community websites. Be aware they can be somewhat unfriendly to new users, if they think you have not done an extensive search on your own.

Hi i am using ubuntu linux i need install netgear usb adapter wg111v3 how can i install in ubuntu please help me

NETGEAR does not offer any offcial drivers for the adapter to work on Ubuntu as they dont support Linux OS. However, you may try third party drivers to install the adapter on Ubuntu. Try the below link:

Hope this helps.

Hi there , My Acer Veriton has no sound card and no facility for one as far as I can see. Is it possible to use a USB external type. And if so how would that work? Rudy, from Australia

USB sound cards work quite well, will your PC support USB2? I have never seen a pc without a sound card? No PCI slots?

USB sound cards have their own internal workings not needed by the PC so it should work just fine. Now if they could just make a USB video driver card :)

Can't connect to internet by using LINKSYS Wireless-G card

I am assuming you have a dual boot machine meaning it runs either linux or windows and not both at the same time. Linux on the other hand may not configure the card automatically and as you should consider changes to the laptop in terms of configuration and devices are actually changes to two computers the windows computer and the linux computer. You probably did some configuration for windows to enable the wireless card (if there was no encryption windows may have done it for you). Linux on the other hand may not recognose and configure the card automatically and as you should consider changes to the laptop in terms of configuration and devices are actually changes to two computers the windows computer and the linux computer. The many flavors of linux also have almost as many means to configure devices. In order to assist you I will need to know which distribution and version of linux you are using. I will also need to know the manufacturer and model (possibly number and not description) of the wireless adapter to be configured. Warning this may be easy and in other cases it may not be and I have access to few linux distributions to experiment with.

Connecting to a Linux machine

Have you ever heard of wine? You can install wine for free and see if the program that allows you to interface the device to a PC will work. There also could be some linux programs that will allow you to connect your pocket PC to your PC.
