Oki C5200n 002: Fatal Error

I have an Oki C5200n and started getting 002:Fatal Error 01F6D09C 01F6D038 01F63A1C errors occur randomly throughout the day even when not printing. Oki has not responded so any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using the printer as a network printer only.

Same as above, looks like a network error but started for no reason. Can not figure out how to fix it other than turn on/off all the time to print only a couple of pages...please help!

We are getting the exact same error message, and no one is even trying to print. We are also using the printer as a network printer. Turning it off and back on again isn't helping anymore.

Here is the fix that worked for me:

Take the printer off the network. (Remove the network cable) Then enter the menu and select network menu. You want to change the settings as described below:

Change the Hublink Setting to "100 base tx full"
Change the FTP Setting to "Disable"

Once done and machine says online, shut it off, reattach the network cable and restart the printer.

I also set a fixed IP address so that I didn't loose the printer when the router assigned a different address to it.

I tried the same network changes; however I am still having the problem. Any other ideas?

Tried disabling FTP and changing the Hub link settings, still does not work. It works fine for one print job and then the same error pops up. So we have to shutdown the printer and turn it on again. And again the error pops up. Any solutions for this will be greatly appreciated

Hi
See if you have any dell computers and if you do remove them from the network or do not connect them to the computer.
The fault is with the Dell Network Assistant on the Dell notebooks and computers.

We have to change firewall settings in our Fios router. I just don't know which ports or udp to open.

I too am having this problem, I suspect it started after installing our new FIOS router, so it could be network related. It's possible the number could be referencing an internal memory number.

OKI c6150 with error msg 002-fatal error. please, I need a quick answer. do not have time to scroll through pages of older posts

If you printer has an additional memory card fitted then remove it (powered off of course) and turn on and see what happens. If the fatal error is still there then with the age of the machine (getting on in years) it is better to replace it as the error refers to the cpu in the control board and that's expensive on older machines to replace.

Error 030 fatal error

ecblank.gif What does "Fatal Error" mean? ecblank.gif ecblank.gif ecblank.gif ecblank.gif
ecblank.gif ecblank.gif Summary: Printer has displayed a "Fatal Error" message. This simply means a problem has occurred requiring you to take action. It does NOT mean that your printer has "died". ecblank.gif ecblank.gif ecblank.gif ecblank.gif
ecblank.gif ecblank.gif Your printer display or status monitor may read "Fatal Error". This simply means a problem has occurred requiring action to clear.
A "Fatal Error" does not mean your printer will "die". Fatal Error explanations are not usually found in the User's Guide or Handy Reference Guide.

RECOMMENDED NEXT STEP: First, try turning off your printer then turning it back on. If this does not clear the message or remedy the problem, check to see if your printer is on a power strip (or not plugged directly into the wall). For testing purposes, be sure the printer is plugged directly into the wall. Often, the issue is power-related.

Second, if the issue persists after this, write down the message (including the 3-digit error code number) and email us at "[email protected]" or call Oki Data Customer Support (1-800-654-3282) for assistance.

NOTE: If you see a series of letters and numbers(scrolling across the display) after the 3-digit error code, be sure to write these down also and report them when call or emailing Customer Support.

Oki 5800 shows 177 fatal error

A 177 is a fuser code. The fuser is the part that gets hot. Try rebooting the printer. Try taking it out and putting it back in (with the machine off). You might need to replace the fuser unit.

Oki c5200 fatal error 121

We had a similar problem with an Oki C7300. It was reading "Fatal Error 121" on the display.

We fixed it by simply unplugging the printer from a surge strip and plugging it into the wall directly. After that, the error went away and has not come back.

Okidata c5200n printer 173:FATAL ERROR. What is this? How do I fix it?

In the fuser unit the Heat roller thermister indicates a low temperature error. Replacing the fuser unit will usually resolve this. Fuser units are consumable items bur for an early life failure such as this it may be worth contacting the manufacturer.

If this does not help, or you cannot get past the 002 fatal error then the machine will require service.

Fatal error 163

Fatal Error 161-Toner Sensor Error, Color:Magenta
When magenta toner sensor error has occurred

Fatal Error 163-Toner Sensor Error, Color:Black
When magenta toner sensor error has occurred

Both are Sensor errors....You would first check the lock levers that hold the toner cartridges in, if everything is fine with them then you could possible have toner dust on the sensors. First take out the cartridge that you are having problems with, then use a dust off can and carefully clean out any axcess toner that you can see where the toner sits. there is a sensor that looks like a clear plastic or glass eye that reads the cartridges and it sometimes gets dirty.
