TEAC MC-DX220i-S Brand new out of the box and all the cd's jumped tracks. Someone told me that it could be that the packing materials create static and I need get rid somehow...any ideas?

it seems you power unit of mc-dx221 system got burnt just open your system and see the power unit

Check the speaker wiring on the back for shorts, if okay! the audio output ic is faulty and needs to be replaced.

I know this sounds a little brutal for what is after all is a delicate piece of hi-fi; I've just fixed mine by turning it upside down and giving it a good shake, knocking the underside a couple of times. The tray jumps out of its guide track, you're just shakin it back in.

try different cd's my has the same problems. maybe due to early era of cd player. some cd's work ok. use as an amp with outboard cd player. good luck

You'll probably need a charging adapter like the Scosche Passport, avaiable via the Apple Store.

You might need to have it professionally cleaned / diagnosed. The problem might not be a dirty reader, but a misaligned tray. Many trays, over time, become misaligned. Some more than others. Depends on your use and abuse of the unit. The issues generally happen towards the end of the tracks.
