There are several ways to prevent sweat from rusting the two lever joints on your elliptical:
Use a towel: Keep a towel handy while using your elliptical and wipe down the lever joints periodically to remove any sweat. This will help prevent sweat from accumulating and causing rust.
Apply lubricant: Use a silicone-based lubricant to coat the lever joints. This will prevent rust from forming and keep the joints working smoothly. Make sure to wipe off any excess lubricant after application.
Use a protective cover: If your elliptical came with a protective cover, use it to cover the lever joints. If not, you can purchase a cover or use a large towel to cover the joints.
Keep the room well-ventilated: Proper ventilation can help reduce the amount of sweat that accumulates on the elliptical. If possible, open a window or turn on a fan while using the machine.
Clean and maintain the elliptical regularly: Make sure to clean the elliptical regularly and tighten any loose bolts or screws. This will help prevent rust and ensure that the machine is functioning properly.
If one of the buttons is stuck, none of the buttons will work.
Try using a hair dryer to free the stuck button. the heat (use low) will cause the button to expand and might free the button.
Otherwise, the consoles are not repairable, and are a straight replacement item. Call Icon Fitness for parts pricing.
There are several areas that could create squeaking in an elliptical,
Check the floor where your elliptical sits to verify the floor is level. An uneven floor could create strain on moving parts which would create squeaking
Spray an aerosol multipurpose lubricant onto any moving joints, especially metal on metal high friction areas like bolts and washers.
Apply grease around the rollers on the roller arms beneath the pedals. Operate your machine to spread the grease onto the roller ramps. Wipe away any excess grease.
Synthetic grease works best and will last you longer also.
I will be attaching a link to the grease we recommend, if any other questions come up please do not hesitate to call on our Tech Support Team at 888-713-2280 or visit us online at www.sportsmith.net

Depending
on the amount of use, oiling your elliptical as much as once a month or once
every 6 months can help prevent mechanical problems and avoidable repairs in
the future.
1
Prepare
to oil by filling a grease gun with lithium grease. Check your owner's manual
for the exact type of grease for your unit.
2
Locate
where it is you need to lubricate. Focus on the bearings, free-moving joints
and attachments with moving parts such as handle bars, wheels, pedals arms and
guide rails. Go to each location one by one when greasing.
3
Unfasten
the bolts or screws that hold the joint or attachment that you wish to
lubricate.
4
Grease
each bolt and screw liberally. Tighten each bolt and screw back into its place
when finished.
please test the battery by new ones, clean the contacts batteries and replace . test the reed switch see the diagram attached. However you must download from www. fitness.manualsonline.com
