I can not get my cleaning head to disconnect. It appears as if the release button is stuck or broke. What can I do to get it to release?
Hi Randy, it's Jack at Dyson.
If the release button appears to be jammed, our experts should be able to talk you through freeing it with some troubleshooting checks over the phone. If not, we'll be happy to confirm if replacement parts are covered under our 5-year warranty.
For assistance, please contact us directly on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU). Make sure you have your DC39 to hand when you call.

Possibly a belt problem, but more than likely a brushroll problem.
The bearings are cheap and nasty, and are prone to siezing.
