Attempting to purchase filter for haier de45ek-l

Not familiar with this brand but all of them are fundamentally the same. If you cleaned with water, make sure the unit is thoroughly dry. Especially electronic components. Also..Make sure that the float for the water tank is correctly installed and not jammed. Some manufacturers set a E2 code for water collection tank issues.

continuous drain option, So was there a plug in the end of pipe, did you remove it, does your pipe run down over, has to. Not a lot between bottom of unit and floor, But pipe has to go down over, if up and down, will not drain. down all the way

I this is the first time you have attempted to clean the filter, since you purchased the unit. There is a piece of plastic tape holding the filter in place. It was on there for shipping purposes. Remove the tape and discard it. Then remove the filter. With some gentle effort it will slide down and out.

It takes a couple if tries. Have to press it twice to get down low and have to have at high or low speed.

After turning the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF, unplug the unit for the wall outlet and wait 12 -15 minutes. Then plug the unit back in to the wall outlet and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. That 12 - 15 minute timeout, should have allowed the unit to reset it self and clear that unknown code.

Jason, currently the only 45 pint dehumidifier that Haier sell is Model # DE45EK or DE45EK-L or EK-T. If any of those matches the Model Number of yours, you can down load and print the Owners Manual from the link below. However, the model numbers I listed make no reference to Error Code E2. If your Model Number does not correspond to any of those numbers, your unit is probably no longer manufactured or available.

With that said, there are two things you can do. First, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and wait 12 - 15 minutes. Then, plug the unit back in and turn the Master On/Off Switch to ON. Did the Error Code clear itself. If so, set the controls as you normally would.

If that didn't solve the problem you can contact Haier Customer Service at 877-337-3639 and they will advise you what to do, to clear the error code.

It's a pain because unlike the round design they can "fall out" when you snap the filter back in. Be that as it may, they work well because you cannot buy the black round wool filter anywhere.
