i have the same problem with my 37 in sharp aquos it has a broken screen. i have done alittle research and you have to open it up an find make /model and number of the screen before you can get a quote to fix or before you are able to get a screen
try that and then see what you get on googleing it

I had to email them about 5 pictures of my screen with the dark line. It will be interesting to see if they say they have never heard of this happening again...they were very helpful in the grand picture. Please let us know how it goes.
