Battery cap My battery cap is damaged and i need a new one. where can find a replacement for it. It is a ATN PVS 7 Gen 3 Night Vision repair

Considering many vendors who sell parts are going to have a minimum order, Night Vision Depot for example has a 100 dollar minimum; you might consider trying to repair your old one or fabricating a new one. Otherwise checking on Ebay for one. On the other hand if you can fabricate a new one easily, you might consider being a vendor of that part too as you would not be the only person to encounter that dilema.

Hello, Welcome to ATN Russian image intensifier tube. That right Russian. There is a good possiblity that Russian manufactured the hole binocular with ATN name and logo on it. Typically, this image tube are made to their standards and not to USA standards. There are a lot of countries in this world that manufacture night vision devises and there parts. I know that ATN didn't pay what you paid for this nice looking....yes, that what I said "nice looking" But that about all it is... You can send it back to ATN for repairs but it will new Russian parts to replace old Russian parts.

Now, check IR illuminate to see if it is working. This 1st gen Russian image tube are good up to 80-100 yards. I wish you all the luck. GB...stewbison

As you probably know that internal electronic are manufactured in Russia. I just repair an ATN MK238. Verything from the image intensifier tube to power supply was shot. I managed to round up 1 gen green Russian image tube, but the ccfl inverter, tolorid coil, voltage multiplier I had to manufactured them. Sorry, wish that I could be more help. stewbison

Contact ATN and give them a really sad story. If they want sell you eye peace, then send me message on the optics and what it size is, thread size, diameter, etc. stewbison

Hello, have you or someone else pointed this night vision devise at bright lights, street lights, head lights. If so, maybe the damage has/hasn't alread been done. STOP. This PVS-7 goggles with ITT image tube with generation 2 or 2+ or possibly generation 3 tube. The devise is an American made unit, and the best in the world. Nobody can compete with the USA on NV. They sat the standards on Night Vision.

Have you replace the 6 volt battery? Get the goggle in a darken room then turn the switch on.
see if the 25mm plate will turn green and stay on. But first replace that battery.
Therefore, if this test works, then never and I mean never shine NV devises into bright lights, it will destroy them every time.

how old is the gen 2 tube??? they only last about 1000 hours and they wear out,,,,,
gen 2 is not realy that much better than gen 1 but the price for gen 2 is stupid

this is not much to go on???? i gess you have found out its not working by now,,,try changing the batterys? these scopes only have a life span of about1500 hours after that there dead they are "bright light protected" so leaving it switch on in daylight should have just knocked the batterys out,,,
