This is a POSSIBLE answer: I found the manual at the Vicks site, read through it, but it did not mention replacement parts at all. However, at the very end of the manual was this paragraph, which might serve as a way for you to get what you need. Quoting the manual:

My OX husband trod upon his new humidifier LOL...broke the tank and I cannot stop leaking. Anyone have a site where I can buy just a Vicks tank?

If you still have your Owner's Manual or Guide, it should tell you where and how to order replacement parts. Or it should have a Customer Service telephone number you can call.

There is probably a calcium buildup in the lines from the tank to the humidifier. You will need to take it apart to lean it. 50/50 White Vinegar should do the trick, Then flush the system with clean water, before using it as a humidifier again. In the future try using Bottled Spring Water or Distilled Water instead of tap water. Especially if your source of water is a well.

the value would have been stuck inside the white cap, so when you press the stick with the spring, the head of the valve should stick out. If this does not work, just remove the spring and the black stick from the value, water should come out

The valve on the bottom of the tank is either too tightly twisted on or needs cleaning. Be sure when you push up on the little plastic piece that sticks out that the water comes out quickly (do over sink). If not, loosen the filling cap, clean the valve and screw cap back on, but not too tight.

medication was never meant to go into a humidifier. it clogs the transducer. if you can clean the vicks off the transducer plate you might squeeze another season out of it, otherwise by adding medication to the machine you just gave it an early death.

Weekly Maintenance (Removing Scale)

1. Turn the switch to off and unplug the corn from the wall.
2. Remove Water Tank and empty any remaining water from the water tank.
3. Remove Medicine Cup from the Cooling chamber from the Base. Carefully remove the Cooling Chamber and Removable Water Tray from the Base.
4. Soak the Removable Water Tray in a solution of white vinegar and water for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and then wipe dry with a soft clean cloth.
5. Fill the heating chamber with undiluted white vinegar. Let stand for 20 minutes. Dampen soft, clean cloth or sponge with undiluted white vinegar and wipe out Heating chamber to remove scale. DO NOT use soap, detergents or abrasive cleaners.
6. Rinse the Heating Chamber using clean warm water, being careful not to submerge the base in water.
7. The Water Tray, medicine Cup, and Cooling Chamber are top shelf dishwasher safe.
