Hi Elaine, it's Allan at Dyson.

In this case there is little opportunity for troubleshooting and resolving remotely and would recommend contacting Dyson to arrange for an engineer to inspect and repair.

Please give the Dyson Helpline a call on 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA), 0800 298 0298 (UK).

I'm sorry we can't be of any further help but I hope you find this useful.

Many thanks,

Allan

I have a dyson dc19 hoover and the canister release button is stuck

The release button is probably restricted with dirt and dust. If you can't get it cleaned out you may have to force it.

Dyson DC19 turbo head brushes do not rotate even after cleaning

Most likely a belt has broken or slipped off inside the head. Look for screws or clips that hold the bottom plate on. Get inside the head and you'll likely see exactly what's wrong.

How to open lower filter on dyson dc19

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

DC19 has two filters, both engineered to last for the lifetime of the vacuum in normal use. The pre-filter should be washed at least once every 3-6 months using cold water without detergent, as shown in the video below. Allowed at least 12 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it.

The post-filter located underneath the clear bin is engineered to capture microscopic allergens, and carbon from the motor. It does not need any maintenance - in fact, attempting to wash or clean the post-filter could cause damage to the vacuum not covered under guarantee. For this reason we advise against accessing or removing the post-filter.

I hope this helps, but if you have any questions about the filter, or regarding the performance of your DC19, please get in touch with our experts directly so we can provide further assistance. You can reach us by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Hi, I have a relatively new Dyson DC19 and the

Hi David, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm surprised to hear you've having difficulty emptying the bin on your DC19, as this should be straightforward. It's possible the catches could be a little stiff if they haven't been opened before, but our online Support guide shows what you need to do: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/dc19t2/dc19t2/how-to-use-your-dyson-vacuum/emptying-the-clear-bin-step-1

If you do need further help after you've given this a try, please call our freephone UK Helpline on 0800 298 0298, or email us at [email protected]

Best wishes,

Jack

The power button on my Dyson DC19T2 won't stay on

The switch is broken. If you are handy, remove the old switch and match it up at a hardware store or a Vacuum repair shop. It shouldn't cost much to have it replaced by a proffessional either.
