Broken belt on treadmill - The belt on my treadmill came apart at the seam how can I fix it? Can it be glued back together.

Looks like it was not designed to be repaired. You have to remove the speaker grills by prying them up. They are glued in. Then find 8 screws (not the small speaker screws) then you still need to pry it apart at the only seam that you can find that goes around the unit. The battery has three small phillips screws and it is unplug able. The only hint that they expected it to be repaired. It will be a mess at the seam when you finally get it apart using flat blades screw drivers (careful doing this). Now for the funny part. I unplugged the battery and plugged it backing and the unit turned on. Strange. Hope this helps. It actually has pretty good sound for its size. If I put it back together and it fails again, it will be trashed..

do you mean the end that is mounted to the dash has broken loose from the dash or the OBD connector is broken apart. if its broken apart you can get one at a wrecking yard and replace it by properly soldering the wires together and shrink wraping the connection if its the other you can either do the same or supper gluing the end to fasten it to the dash.

I would question why it traveled to the right and cause you grief. Before anything else run the unit and see if its going travel to the right again if it does then check right end cap for breakage. To your first question no you cannot glue the belt they use a high temperature gluing process for the seams you'll have unfortunately replace the belt.

Cut around the seam with a sharp xacto knife. It will open.

Sorry. no easy way, you have to take it apart. Be careful you don't break the plastic tabs on the corner covers or they will never go back together properly.

Belt replacement is not a small task. If you are not mechanically incline with basic tools, find a professional. With the belt should be general instruction on how to replace belt. Side or straddle covers will have to come off, then front and rear rollers. Pay close attention to how it comes apart because you will have to put it all back together.

I replaced mine 2x on a cabrio 2000 in Miami. Then I went to a local upholstary store and they stiched the hood for approx $250.- it has been fine since.

There was a fuse inside - Replaceable - fixed the problem.

There were no hidden screws, none under stickers or in the battery box like suggested by others, and the 2 magic release screws not so. There are several deep screws requiring a long philips, but the entire seam is glued (why?) so to open the radio I had to hit the body near the seam with a rubber hammer to crack the seam loose once all the screws were removed, comes right apart. Put it back together without glue, just the screws, it will be fine.
