SOURCE: DCS Range constant sparking at all burners even when lighting one

This happens to mine if there is anything on any of the burners, such as food residue or moisture. Check all the burners to see that nothing is touching the burner area where the gas jets are. Even a little water can make this happen.

SOURCE: Place explain in detail how to get the door back

Turn the range off and let it cool completely.

  • 2 Open the range door to the first stop where it rests open on its own.
  • 3 Place one hand on each side of the range door near the middle and pull the range door up and out to remove the door. Pull the door off at the same angle as it rests at the first stop. This will release the door completely from the slide-off hinges that mount to the door and the range frame.
  • 4 Place the range door on a solid surface. Remove the two Phillips screws on the left hinge that mounts to the door, turning each one counterclockwise with a screwdriver. Remove the two screws on the right door hinge in the same manner.
  • 5 Remove the left hinge on the range frame by turning each of the two Phillips screws counterclockwise. Remove the right hinge on the range frame in the same manner.
  • 6 Place the new hinge on the range frame on the left side and line the screw holes up with the holes in the frame. Screw the hinges on by turning the screws clockwise. Repeat for the right side of the range frame.
  • 7 Place the new hinges on the left and right side of the door and attach them with Phillips screws, turning them clockwise.
  • 8 Pick up the range door with one hand on each side and slide the door back into the hinges on the range frame to attach the two sides of the hinges together.
  • This is how you take it out ..and to put it back the procedure is reversed ...If the hinges are already attached on the door ..all you have to do is to get the right position (45 degrees ) to slide it back in ..

My oven won't heat up and just smells like gas but my stove burners work

Hello, This is going to be a problem with your igniter/glow bar. Over time these get old and although you may see it glowing iit still may be bad. Your igniter should glow a brillient yellow and should ignite the gas within 15 seconds of the valve opening. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again...Good Luck! Mike

    Gas stove DCS

sounds like the thermal fuse may have gone on it.

is it just the stove or does the cooktop work funny too?

a technician shouldn't cost you more than $80.00 to diagnose. part is farily inexpensive too + labour to install.

Igniter will not shut off on my DCS RGS-366 gas range

Replace the multipoint gas re-igniter, it is a blue unit behind the knobs. This unit detects the flame and stops the clicking. Call Fisher and Paykel (owners of DCS) at 1 888 936-7872, they sell parts for DCS. The old inferior unit is blue and has a whte label. The newer unit has a yellow label.
