SOURCE: I need help my new dm10 mod comes up with

you have to make sure the red crash 1 is on the cymbal w the choke zone on it and plugged into crash one on the module. crash 2 goes in the cymbal w no choke and plugs into perc 2 on the module. also make sure the ride zones are plugged in to the corresponding zone on the module. bottom line double check all connections and reference the setup guide if u still have it. i had the same issue.

Anybody ever figure out the Alesis DM10 module blank screen with some led lights on?

Try a reset before going to assistance:
There are two ways to reset the DM10:
To fully restore the module to original factory settings, hold the EXIT and STORE buttons while powering on the module.
To reset only the kits, sequences, or trigger settings:
  1. Press UTILITY to enter the main Utility Menu.
  2. Press SYS (F4) to access the Accompaniment Settings.
  3. Press INIT (F2) to access the reinitialization page.
  4. Use CURSOR UP/DOWN to move through the following menu items:
    • All Kits: All of the module's kits and their settings will return to factory default
    • All Sequences: All of the module's sequences and their settings will return to factory default
    • All Trigger Settings: All of the module's trigger settings will return to factory default
  5. Highlight the option you would like to reset, then press EXEC (F4).
  6. A window will appear asking you to confirm your choice. To confirm and reinitialize the selected settings, press YES (F1). To Cancel, press CANCEL (F2 or F2).

Kick drum and cymbals will not trigger if i hit them at the same time

Have a look in the manual for advanced settings related to crosstalk between pads. You can adjust, for example, so that one pad isn't causing another to react...common issue and can usually be configured to tell one pad to not react if one or several specific pads are struck. Sounds like yours are set too high for that rejection.

I have the dm10 studio pro 2011 kit, and no matter how i store settings for priority, if the rim of tom 1 or 2 are struck at the same instant as the snare head, the snare does not sound. even if i set no...

Realize first that your "instant" is like eons to the electronics where billionths of a second count... This is an interesting set of symptoms. I would connect one of the other devices to one of the tom inputs and see if the snare acts the same using that devicee. Also try to characterize how much ahead or behind the snare hit the tom hit can occur and have both sound. This problem MAY be embedded in either the electronics or the firmware in the module. It could be an electrical noise issue or any of several other things. I want you to try this using ONLY headphones and NO amp... this is to isolate the possibility that the vibrations of the snare by the amp may be triggering anti-noise gate in the snare circuit. These are some more tests I want you to do the above and give me the results.

When i turn it on all it will say is "MIDI restore

The unit has lost the operating system and is in a BIOS type program waiting for you the send in the operating system file via MIDI. Download the file from the manufacturer and connect the unit via MIDI to do the transfer. The manufacture's site should have the directions. BE VERY careful as this is likely a "flashing" of the internal program memory and you don't want to lose power while doing a flashing.
