Can't accept my hdmi cable via laptop, keeps saying no signal

Are you enabling the external display feature? The HDMI must be enabled from the laptop keyboard before it will output. This is done with the "Fn" Key (lower left next to Windows key + the F5 key. This is a 3-way toggle. The default is normal screen. First toggle switches to external (HDMI), second toggle to both screens, and the third back to normal.

This excerpt from your User's Guide:

<Fn> + <F5> Display toggle
Switches display output between the display screen,
external monitor (if connected) and both.

Have a 97 honda. Just purchased. It has a toggle switch installed that works with original key ignition. That said... toggle controls whole electrical..everything works..except tail lights, and the dash...

So If I understand, you turn on toggle and then use key to engage starter? Do brake lights and turn lights work, just not the running lights? Or are all tail lights dead. If none work, juice is not getting to the headlamp switch. Best fix would be to replace the probably bad ignition switch and repair wiring back to original, but quick fix would be to run a second wire from toggle switched side to the headlamp switch +

I have a toshba satellite p775D laptop. it says the hardware radio switch is odd. how do i turn it back on so i connect with the internet and where is it located?

Look on both sides of the computer and in front of the computer for a switch that controls the wireless.

Once you turn it on your wireless should come back. Also once you have the switch turned on there is another way to toggle the wireless on and off by hitting a set of keystrokes. If you Press and Hold the FN function key at the lower left part of the keyboard, then hit the key that controls the wireless (F1 thru F12) you can toggle the wireless off and on. The correct F1 thru F12 key will have the wireless icon )))) signal on it or it might have a tower with a the wireless icon )))) signal. Once you Press and Hold the FN key, then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key to toggle the wireless a message will probably appear on your screen that says Wireless On or Wireless Off.

The back light is out, how to turn it on?

1.Check your monitor brightness setting. Occasionally, the monitor brightness can get accidentally turned all the way down. This will result in a completely dark laptop screen that appears to lack a backlight. Adjust the monitor brightness via the dedicated brightness keys at the very top of your laptop's keyboard.

2.Toggle the backlight back on via the keyboard. This is accomplished by using the "Function" key, which lies near the bottom left of your laptop keyboard and is marked "Fn." When pressed in conjunction with one of the "Fx" keys on the top row of your keyboard, you can toggle the backlight on and off automatically. There is an "F1" key, an "F2", and so on. The exact key to press simultaneously with your "Fn" key will vary by laptop model, so consult your computer's user manual. You may have accidentally toggled the backlight off and simply need to toggle it back on via this key function.

3.Prepare to operate on your laptop if you cannot toggle the backlight back on. Shut down the laptop. Disconnect the AC adapter cord from the back of the computer, then close the display and turn over the computer.

4.Remove the battery. The battery on most computers is at the top of the laptop's underside, although some computers may feature the battery in a bottom corner. The horizontal outline of the battery will be clearly visible all the same. Beside or just beneath the battery will be a battery-release latch. Slide this to disengage the battery.

5.Turn the laptop back over. Open the display.

6.Observe the bezel, which is the perimeter that runs around the display. There will be a number of rubber caps that exist on the bezel. The exact number will vary by laptop model. Use the tip of a flat-head screwdriver to pry under the caps and pop them off.

7.Remove the screws under the laptop bezel's caps with your Phillips screwdriver.

8.Work around the bezel's perimeter with your fingers and pry the bezel completely off.

9.Look at the bottom of the monitor assembly. A thin inverter board will span horizontally across the screen's bottom. There is a connector on either end of the inverter board. If the right cable is loose from the right connector, lift up on the connector and slide the cable back in. This will restore the laptop's backlight.

10.Replace the bezel and the bezel's screws. Reinsert the battery and power on the laptop.

I have an HP DV9000 laptop and did a presentation yesterday. When I arrived at the site I had to attach the display to an LCD projector. I connected the project via a porft connector, I believe that...

I think it's probably FN+F8 that may do this on the HP laptops. The key should have a little icon on it in the same color as the function key (typically blue) that will toggle the screen from the laptop screen to the external. There are usually 3 modes to this toggle
1. Laptop screen only
2. External screen only
3. Mirrored on laptop screen and external screen

So try toggling with the FN+F8 key combination.

Also you can probably start up in safe mode to disable the external VGA toggle.

When you see the HP Splash screen, start tapping the F8 Key to bring up the boot menu. From there choose safe mode and see if you get the video back in safe mode....After that reboot and see if it will bring up the video in normal viewing mode.

Good Luck

Need replacement key for golden companion ll scooter

Julie I don't have a replacement key but if you contact Golden Tech @ 800-624-6374 or e-mail the parts dept @ [email protected] give them the serial number and they can get you a key. Now if you stuck for funds like alot of us you can purchase a on/off toggle switch for about $3.00 and replace the switch with the toggle switch. You have to take the tiller cover off to get to the old switch remove it by cutting the wires and attach the 2 wires to each pole on the toggle switch. Once you have the wires attached to the toggle switch turn it on and off to make sure it works and then insert it into the old switch hole tighten the nut to secure it to the cover and put the tiller cover back together. Good luck Hope this helps you

Number lock locked

Look for a key in the bottom left corner of the keyboard that says "fn", and hold it down while pushing numlock key. It should toggle then. As a side note, all other items that look the same way the numlock key looks can be used with that same "fn" key.
