Hello Arushdeep Singh,

I have tried to find a "210" whirlpool,..

Sadly only finding some vague references to a
17 cubic foot OLD TIME refrigerator... (?).

The good news: If indeed you are speaking of
an "OLD TIME" unit more than 3o years ago
your gas is Freon R22...

The bad news is that is BANNED and your
choices are varied... interesting and all fairly
expensive.... (hideously expensive).

~~

Sorry that is all I can relate on a MODEL 210.

(Lot of R22 scams going on out there... be careful).
((of course)).

30 pound canisters sell for under $800 US Dollars.

Hi I have got a daewoo FDF 358 fridge/freezer. Hasn't been on for a couple of years. Motor running but not cooling. Would it be possible just the gas needing refilling?

Most likely the gas leaked out, or the compressor is defective even though the motor part is running. Could also be a check valve in the system.

If the gas leaked out, it would be necessary for the service tech to find and fix the leak before refilling. If not the gas will be lost again if there is a leak. The service tech should be equipped to verify the pump pressure and if the rest of the system is working okay. This type of repair is not cheap.

With some fridges the condenser pipes are inside of the walls of the fridge and not accessible. If the leak is in an non accessible area then the fridge would be scrap.

Im looking at buying an LG fridge with the double doors and freezer on the bottom. It also has the ice machine and water hook ups but it needs a gas refill how much will that cost?

I wouldn't buy any modern fridge that needs a gas refill. Needing a refill means that it has a leak. Modern fridges are 'sealed unit' compressors and should NEVER leak. If they do then there is a leak, often in the evaporator coils inside the fridge and commonly between the copper to aluminium joins. These leaks would need to be repaired however most piping is not easily accessible. Cost may be $100 to $300 for re-gas plus repair $$$ and unless the leak was located and repaired then you will be re-gassing again in days, weeks or months.
LEAK needs FIX LEAK and re-gas.

How do I refill the refrigerant in my fridge

how do you know it is short? In most countries it is against the law to just refill the refrigerant you have to find the leak and fix it make sure it holds pressure then u can weigh the exact amount into it. You also have to Vac out the system before adding referigerant and also change the filter dryer if the system did indeed go short of gas

Fridge gas refill

Are you saying that you believe the compressor needs freon? If that is the case, the cooling circuit in household refrigerators are sealed. You HAVE to have someone come and service it.

When you say that the "gas has been refilled " has me concerned . When ever a refrigeration system is low on freon, there is a leak in the system. What kind of refrigerator is it and model?

Whirlpool refrigerator model # GS5SHAXSLOO: Freezer works fine. Cool air not getting to the refrigerator area. Evaporator fan is working properly.

Hello there,

When your refrigerator tends to be running perfectly fine, but your fridge or freezer compartments are not cooling, then it means there is a problem somewhere inside the unit.

The problem could be caused by either a blocked condenser coil, or no more freon gas in the refrigerator. You need to clean out the condenser coils then refill the freon gas and your refrigerator will be in good condition once again.

Ensure your thermostat is functioning properly also.

Hope this helped you solved the problem.

My whirlpool fridge freezer is not producing water from it the ice is not refilling there is water getting to the fridge freezer as we have check the water input.

Check you filter, if it has been more than a year it is blocked. It might also be a broken pump or froozen water line. I would start with replacing the filter then the pump and if no luck a heater kit

I want to know about the gas cylinder in a haier fridge freezer, that is apparently reqired to be refilled at times thank you [email protected]

Hi Tania, there should not be any reason for repeated refilling of refrigerant unless there is a leak in the system. The cylinder you refer to is the compressor and drives the refrigerant through the system. It is quite common for fridges to develop small leaks which should be repaired at the time a fridge is refilled. These leaks can sometimes be internal in the walls of the cabinet in which case it is not possible or practical to repair them.

Ice & water dripping in refrigerator

Seems that you now have to little gas in the fridge.Somewhere on your apparatus there should be a factory tag where it should be info on amount of gas, prod date etc and also which type of gas to fill.
Other thing as fan not running properly, door gaskets leaking can lead to Ice build up.
High humidity and water all over inside fridge.Gas filling procedure.Make vacum(vacumpump)Fill in correct weight (grams or oz)of gas.Anyhow when you must fill gas there is usually a leak in your system and to find that i use liquid nitrogen. For this serviceman is the best option.
