How do you use the blackburn track pump sport2 on a road bike

The picture I found...

looks exactly like a Blackburn rack...

which shows the top attachment hardware better.

The rack connects at both bottom points with screws through pre-drilled holes that are present above the rear wheel dropouts on many road and mountain bikes, but FEW racing frames.

The top front end of the rack uses either one or two of the supplied metal braces to mate it somewhere like a seatstay bridged.

You may have to get creative with YOUR frame. Don't drill holes in it. Ask a bike shop for options. There are brackets to make up for lack of pre-drilled holes.

For some reason the ydon't have a download for the manual at the Blackburn site.

Give this a try, as they probably settled on some basic constants in their design.

They should be designed to fit both styles of valve, but you need to reverse the seal.
you should be able to unscrew the end, remove the sealing rubber and a plastic fitting that pushes on the valve, replace them the opposite way around ,and they will fit the presta.

I'd expect to find it listed here at the Blackburn site.

I had the same problem, Blackburn knows about the defect. All you have to do is call their 800 number and if everything goes as it did for me, just tell them your name/address and they say they'll send a replacement head. We'll see if it gets here in the next 7-12 business days.
btw, the new replacement head isn't the same dual one that you and I have, it is a new one with only one insert that can apparently fit both dunlop (car tire) and presta (skinny bike tire).

I reckon the best pump around today is the Topeak Road Morph. This is a minature track pump with foot pedal and hose with pressure gauge built in to connector. If you have road tyres this pump has to be top of your list.

Dear Doug, to lock a hand pump onto the valve stem: 1.depending on valve type-loosen the valve lock for presta, twist off valve cap for schrader. 2.unlock the pumping handle from the pump so that you can actually "pump" the pump... 3. put the pump head on the valve of the tire, then pull up on the thumb tightening lever. This should squeeze toghether the internal rubber gasket of the pump, and lock on to your valve. 4. Begin pumping. 5. when desired pressure has been reached, push down on the thumb lever to unlock the pump. Remove it. Good Luck Fellow bicyclist!
