The Projector lamp lights, but there is now Dell logo, just some random grey pixels. When I spoke to tech support, I reseated the bulb and it was fine, now however that doesn't work. any ideas? Many thanks, We have used a Dell 2300MP projector for power point projection in our church auditorium. Originally we had it centered with one screen but we found that the screen being behind the choir and the ceiling is to low created problems for view during worship, so we decided to purchase a second Dell 2300MP and set up two screens on each side of the choir We learned that this model was discontinued so we purchased a used one on eBay. We found that the second unit was not as bright as the first even though they were the same model and set up the same. Somehow in trying to determine the problem, this unit was damaged. We purchased a third unit on eBay, this one was new. When we set it up, we found the same problem. Even though they were set up the same and were the same model, the third unit is not bright enough. What could be the problem? Is there a setting that we missed? Doug Roper
I have this same projector and am pushing 4500hr on my current bulb. its starting to get a little dim being that the bulb is only rated for 2000hrs. There are brightness setting is the setup of the projector. There are also 4 display modes. game and PC being the brightest. You can change those with the remote. These are the only factors that should effect the brightness. I would say that you might have gotten a bad bulb. try putting the bulb from the "bright" projector into the "new" one and see if that makes a diffrence. also im looking for parts and bulbs for this model projector. If you would like to get rid of anything please let me know. Hope this helps and good luck.
