Reset button Location

Tom is probably right, the carbon contact on the switch wears out. Open the case and replace the switch.

If you where having difficulty with the on/off button, it sounds like the microswitch under the plastic. Unless you can do micro soldering you can not fix this yourself. You should get a quote from tomtom.

S8000fd dial knobs break - a well known problem. So Fujifilm now makes a bit different knobs for this camera, the new type is really hard to brake even if you try to. It consists of 5 pieces. If you're interested, I can send one set to you - I work in a service center authorized by Fujifilm. But it isn't cheap - about 33$ including postage.

Mike sounds like an IC glich which is send it back kinda problem if you send it back and they can't fix it they usely send you a NEW one

Hi,
Press the power button for 15 seconds and your tomtom will turn on with the drum sounds yor tomtom will now reset but nothing will be deleted off it and it will now hope fully work.
