Try disconnecting the TV from the power outlet and leave OFF for a couple of minutes.
If that did not work, try pressing the "DEMO" button on the remote or the front panel if you have one, or you may want to go into menu and look for something that says "demo"

With power ON, press PLAY/REPEAT on the unit for 7 seconds to deactivate the SELF DEMO MODE.

Hi i think this is the model we also have any way we taped a few tv shows and it worked fine. Also watched them and it still worked. We then rewound the tape all the way to watch it again and when we play it all it will show is the blue screen unless we fast forward it or rewind it or pause it no sound is heard while this happens. can u help us. thanks sunny

Unfortunately unplugging it didn't work and neither the TV or the remove have anything anywhere with DEMO on it. If you come up with any other suggestions, I would love to try them.

Thank you so much! That fixed that problem, however, it has now created another one....now the screen is mostly covered by a big black box. Any thoughts? This is the tv my kids watch video's on and without it they're driving me nuts!!!!! Help !!!
