My Pro-4A set dates back to the '60s. If they have a lifetime replacement policy, I doubt it covers them. My problem is that the plastic the drivers are mounted in rotted years ago (IOW, they fell apart), and the air is gone from the earpads, making them painful to wear long at all.

Don't bother, Koss has a lifetime replacement policy on some headphones like the Pro-4's. All you pay is shipping. Call the repair department.

I receieved a pair of Koss SB145 headphones without the instruction manual. It has two connectors and I am clueless how to record things etc..

I suspect that you actually have the Koss multimedia headphone/microphone model SB/45 as shown on the right earcup, not SB145.

If this is the case, the 3.5mm connector with the black plastic (contains a headphone symbol molded into the plastic) and red insulation bands separating the conductors is for the stereo headphones. The other 3.5mm connector with the tan plastic (contains a microphone symbol molded into the plastic) and black insulation bands is for the microphone.

You need to plug these into the microphone input and headphone output connectors on your computer or whatever device you are recording with. Then adjust the microphone input audio level and headphone output audio level on your recording device. Consult your manual for your recording device to locate the correct connectors and for instructions to adjust the audio levels.

Also, be sure to check and adjust the volume level control on the headphone cord if you don't hear anything after correctly connecting them to your recording device and adjusting the levels.
