Red tint on picture while watching t.v. or playing xbox. Every channel just seems to have more of a reddish hue. This model doesn't allow me to change the red, blue and green hues.
I have the same problem with my Vizio 37" too. Mine is less than 6 months old. I decided to go back to the store where I purchased it, before I was going to call for warranty work. I purchased the Visio because at that time in the store the picture looked just as good as the more expensive tv's there that were all in the same row. When I returned to the store, I asked the sales man if that was the same Visio that was on display when I purchased mine. And it was. Now in comparison to the other tv's there the Visio's color was just like mine at home, dark with red tints. It look horrible. This must be a common fault with this tv. Has anyone else had this problem and gotten it fixed?I have the same problem with my Vizio 37" too. Mine is less than 6 months old. Our's is about 9 months old and we are having the same problem. It started about 2 months after we got it and then mysteriously went away after about 2 weeks. Then about 1 month ago it started again but has yet to clear up. We haven't found a solution and are regretful that we spent that kind of money on this televison. Our old 19" worked great, survived an earthquake and lasted almost 15 years. So much for modern technology. Our's is about 9 months old and we are having the same problem. Is the TV still under warranty. if it is I would call Vizio and request a main board be switch and if it is not under warranty I would call a TV Repair shop and have them put in a Main Board.

To obtain warranty service, contact VIZIO Technical Support via email: [email protected] or via phone at 877 MY VIZIO (877.698.4946) from 6:00AM to 9:00PM Monday through Friday and 8:00AM to 4:00PM Saturday and Sunday, Pacific Time
Maybe if you are using component input wires, one is not inserted fully. Set color to max and put tint in the center, then flip channels and look for known solid colors items of red, blue and green. You can see when one is missing, as a mixed color will just look odd, but a true r,b or g will just not be there so to speak. Hopefully is might just be a feed wire in, but be careful, as too much pressure on insertion can crack a solder joint inside the set.
We had the same problem (for about a week) and finallly realized that the kids had played with the cords in the back of the TV and one connection was loose.
I haven't had any problems with my VIZIO, but I have had several really good experiences with their service people, so I would recommend calling them up. They have great product guaranty and if for whatever reason you got a defective item I'm sure they'll help you out.
