Unfortunately, I don't find any websites selling the connector/plug. You might have to call Maxxsonics (manufacturer of Crunch amps) at 1-847-540-7700 or email them at [email protected].

I just bought a Behringer K3000FX amp and it sounds GREAT with my keyboard. However, just bought a Shure SM48S voice mic and it just doesn't come thru the amp with much volumn...have to turn amp

Greetings! Ok, your amp has an XLR (3-prong) Low-Impedance input on Channel 1 for a Mic. All the other inputs are 1/4" High Impedance inputs, which are for instruments and/or other High Impedance items including low quality High Impedance Microphones. The SM48S is a high quality Low Impedance microphone, so if you use it with a 1/4" plug, it will be in a High Impedance channel, and will be very LOW in volume in comparison with everything else. So, you must use an XLR (3 prong) cable from the Mic to the Channel 1 input on your amp. That will do the trick. Good Luck with your new amp and Mic!

Hi i just got a ava1202 boss eq it didnt have instructions this eq has rca inputs and high level speaker inputs can i use this eq with out an amp can smeone plz help me thnk u

Yes you can use the equalizer without an amplifier. That is what the high level speaker inputs are for. You simply take the positive and negative from a speaker and hook it up to the positive and negative high level speaker inputs on the equalizer.

What wires do I hook up to the high level in plug that came with my dual xp2100 2 channel amp

First, know that you need either high level input or low level input, but not both. Low level input is preferred (RCA cables). If you must use high level input because your head unit doesn't have RCA jacks, you connect the speaker outputs from the head unit to the high level input of your amp. The high level input plug probably has a black wire, this is "signal reference ground". A pair of grey wires which are right positive (grey) and right negative (grey with black stripe). And a pair of white wires, left positive (white) and left negative (white with black stripe).

Pro-ject Debut III with USB turntable - produces high levels of distortion and static - why? (Has an internal pre-amp, so gets plugged into line level inputs. Is properly grounded. Line level input...

which pre-amp do you use, since the pre-amp and usb are cheap made components, especially pro-ject, i was amazed which low quality pre-amp i bought for 250 euro.

I ordered two used sm58's and 2 used sm57's ... one of the sm57's works perfectly but all were said to work perfectly. Is there any way that something could have messed them up in the shipping process?...

It's highly unlikely that something failed in shipping. Those mics are built like tanks. They were probably messed up before you bought them or are counterfeits.

I just bought a Fender VF3 electric violin. It

The piezo pickups for violins REQUIRE a high impedance input preamp.

The measured impedance of My wife's violin is on the order of 2 megohms.

It sounds like you are having cable connection problems. If you don't have a preamp right at the vilin, then use a VERY short high impedance instrument cable.

Most of the Focusrite mic preamps I looked at had input impedance around 5K ohms which is unsuitable for the piezo pickups.

Here we use an Autolycus pickup on an acoustical vilin and an X2 wireless system. The transmiter has a very high input impedance and the resulting system sounds like a violin.

Some amps themselves DO have a high input impedance, but many designed for guitars do not. Long cables, especially low impedance ones, load the piezo pickup with capacitance which clobbers the high frequency response.

How to hook up a pyramid pro plus 4 channel pb-180px without using rca jacks for 6 by 9s

The pb180 has High Input receptacles on the back end. They are marked High Input and identified as Channels 1&2 left/right, and channels 3&4 left/right. You will need to identify all speaker wires coming from your head unit ( left front +&--) , and so on. You will be sending the speaker wires from the head unit to the pb180's High Inputs. In other words, the front left speaker wires(+&-) from the head unit will go to the High Input Channels 1&2 side, left input of the pb180, and so on, so the speaker wires coming out of the head unit will need to be cut. And LABEL all sets of speaker wires before you cut them! Then on the OUTPUT end of the pb180, you will be sending the wires back to the the respective speaker wires which are going to the speakers. So it's out from head unit to pb180 and out from pb180 to speakers.
Hopefully you have the plugs that Pyramid uses for the speaker wire inputs to the amp. If not you have to get creative, and make up terminals to fit into the input receptacles. Maybe a wire terminal from Radio shack will fit those pins..
Also, if you go on line: Google search "Pyramid auto amps" and click on "SEARCH" (upper right hand) of their Web Page. Plug in your model number like this, pb180, and you'll be able to download the manual for this amp. The manual has a full description of the wiring options.

Hope this was helpful and Good Luck!

PINs for high level input

Hello gmb_66,

You did not specify exactly which Jensen amp you have. None of the Jensen PowerPlus series I found had high-level inputs. You can go here and select your amp to download the manual. They should also have the connector for speaker inputs.

Most amps that have both high-level and RCA inputs allow you to use one or the other, but not both at the same time. If your head unit has RCA ourputs, those would be the ones to use, because they generally provide a cleaner signal to the amp with less noise.

Hope this helps.
