I need contol codes for the above remote to contol :
1. A Harman/Kardon Surround Sound amplifier type AVI100 and
2. A Toshiba DVD/VCR recorder model D-VR17KB
Hope you can help!
Universal remote control code for Harman/Kardon TV only = 0054
Universal remote control code for Harman/Kardon VCR, DVD and other devices= 0081, 0038
Try the second ones, they are supposed to work with your device.
Regards
Your remote accepts universal control codes (same for most universal remotes) the ones above should work with your equipment.
The ones posted above are the universal codes.
Some remote brand does not use universal remote codes, eg. Bose universal remote uses Harman/Kardon ............ 20702, 20582
for Harman/Kardon vcr,dvd etc.
As far as I know lexicom should use values above, give it a try.
To make it easier:
Write an email to this guys if all the above solutions do not work they can send control codes for lexicom or send you a replacement of original remote
regards,
From here on same website you can find fabric control codes for most brands (not Lexibook).
solution:
Here is the form to contact Lexybook, ask them if you want to be sure to have the right code. You can also ask them a copy of user manual, they are not available online
regards
If they do not work, then use the form in my last posting, put product number for your remote where required, and you will get code numbers for your devices. This is a solution.
Best regards.
Again here is the link, if it opens the french version, then click on the little flag at upper right hand corner and get english version.
If you give me Serial number and product model I will find the codes for you.
regards
You just need to add a 0 in front of codes I gave you.

Well, I do not know who you are writing to, not to me I assume.
I can see you are very upset as some expert used a bit of sense of humor.
Well, we are unpayed volunteers wasting their time to help you. We are only spradically getting a small prize of a couple of dollar, we do not do this for the money. Even considering that this is a kind of game for us, you can find here many real experts giving you customer support.
No need for calling names etc., if you want the minimal amount of money you payed back you can always get it without need for insulting.
I will be grateful if you can avoid being so rude.
I apologize for all mispells and mistakes in my posts, I do not have any more time to spend on this post correcting them.
Regarding your problem, here is the solution:
I contacted them by mail one week ago, they do not answer me as I cannot provide details about the device.
Here is address [email protected] I suggest also calling them in France, find the number on web
You had this service done for free or for a ridicolous fee, then I will be grateful if in future you can avoid calling names etc.
Many thanks
Best regards

Got the sites where you can get codes for your remote..
CODES
Thanks
In regards to your remote, is there any possible way other than scanning that their customer services said? scanning indeed is a pain and looking for an exact code over the net would take the same amount of pain too. good luck on your quest for the codes.
ooops..!
Kindly disregard the first link i paste here...
Try this one:

I would suggest doing the scan, I know it could be long and painful but it would also determine if your remote can use your devices at all. It may just be that this remote cannot control those devices.
I have a JVC dvd/vcr combo and in order to get it to work with the dvd half I needed to use the toshiba vcr code, but it will not fully control the dvd, just buttons that are common between the dvd and vcr work. That is the downside of using a combo player. Try the toshiba VCR codes: 3003 3020 3029 3060 3077 3090 3059, you may get some functions to work. In case you haven't tried them the Toshiba DVD codes are: 6002 6090 6091 6111 6130 6113. These codes are all for the ST5 remote but Lexibook should be using the same codes for most of their remotes.
Lexibook specifies that the remote will work with most major brands. Harmon Kardon is not a major brand and is more of a highend end brand. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about this. If it were a learning remote you could reprogramme it but it isn't. The only way to know for sure is to try the scanning feature to see if you might find something that may be compatible but I doubt it. Have you send an email to Lexibook? The contact email is [email protected]

Aloha Robin...now that you've posted the model number, we can do some effective research..more soon
ok..robin..here's the situation..
Lexibook has Nothing, nada on this at all. It's apparently a UK based entity, right?
now, as to the two units that you mentioned, at their sites, the only issue they suggest is the standards by which they are accessible. Did you NOT get a users manual with this Lexibook, that shows how to program the codes? I'm wondering IF that unit is indeed compatible with the universal standards as most are like RCA..
Your comments?
Here's what you seek, methinks..there appear to be different documents for the two different items. they are in adobe pdf format(get that here)
some of this appears to be in French.
fellow experts..the actual issue here is that this particular remote is more of a entry level version, than perhaps what we are accustomed to using. The functionality appears to be limited, and therefore, MAY NOT in fact, be capable of this particular aspect of it's function.
I believe that further efforts to make a silk purse from a cows ear will be fruitless.
Just my opinion, of course..
Let's see..takes out calculator. There are 7 experts all attempting to honestly assist Mr. Robin Fuller here, and it's become quite clear that this application rests squarely between the lines of what's achievable. Will be nice IF Mr. Fuller actually accords one of the experts(I nominate Ginko) the well overdue money.
sheesh..mr. fuller give SOMEONE the money, willya on fixya?

Usually answered in minutes!
The proposed solution does not seem to apply to a Lexibook Universal remote control type ST600 nor is any mention made of remote switching of televisions, cable set-top boxes etc. etc.
Thanks anyway.
Regards,
Robin Fuller
Thanks for that IB4G2008. You're entirely correct. The unit is manufactured in France and marketed in UK. The manual contains a myriad of codes but none seem to work with the Harman/Kardon or the Toshiba. An Email to their customer services eventually produced a reply that they did not have access to any more codes than were provided in the manual. Their advice was to use the scan method recommended in the manual - the repeated pressing of a search button until the code is found. They reckon that a code will be found eventually but I may have to continue pressing for an hour or more to get a result!! Hence my cry for help. Robin
The link to the Remote site was most helpful. Unfortuntely it did not provide any sort of link to the remote I have purchased. There were codes listed there for some of their other models so I'll try those in desperation. What I don't understand is surely control codes for a particular piece of equipment remain constant regardless of the remote control in use. Why then do different remote manufacturers have list of codes appropriate to their control and not all others?
Thanks for that GINKO but unfortunately the remote will only accept 3 (three) digit codes so the ones you supplied fell on stony ground.
Thanks again. anyway.
Regards,
Robin
Hi IB4G2008,
I don't know what sort of "Entry Level" remotes you are used to using but this "Entry Level" one claims to be able to conrol most,if not all, functions for a vast number of TVs, VCRs, Satellite set-top boxes, DVDs, Cable set-top boxes and Audio Amplifiers. Does that make it "Entry Level"?
Regards,
Robin
Hi The Machine,
Thanks you for your comment - it makes a lot of sense and I accept the advice. I'll have another go. As for the codes - thanks for those too. Unfortunately the Remote will only accept 3 (three) digit codes so I'm afraid your suggestions will not work but thanks anyway. I've already emailed Lexibook and they recommend the use of the manual scan even though it may take an hour or more. As I've already said, I'll give it another go.
Best regards,
Robin Fuller
Thanks for that Ginko. The Product Model is LXB by Lexibook ST600 and the Serial Number is 0709. Many thanks in anticipation.
Best Regards,
Robin Fuller
Sorry, I know nothing about giving anybody any money - I've already paid Fixya.com. What else do I need to do - even though all the advice I've so far received has not been a lot of use. I've been in the computer industry for over 40 years now and nothing that anybody has told me so far is anything I didn't know already. I also didn't take kindly to unwelcome and iqnorant references to "silk purse from a cows ear". For your apparently ill educated benefit, the actual (English) expression refers to a "Pig's Ear". Note the apostrophe!
Never Mind, you did your arrogant best so thanks for that.
Still Best Regards,
Robin W.E.Fuller
