Hi, I have a Hozelock Cyprio 1313 filter I inherited with my pond and new house. I Cant seem to get it working without water pouring out the two holes on the top and elsewhere. I'm not sure if I am putting...

Hi - I'm Simon from Hozelock. There should be a big o ring that goes between the lid and the tank to make a seal - is that missing ? Also there should be clips that hold the lid to the tank. Both pieces are available as spares, at www.hozelockservice.com - any probs contact [email protected] or @hozelock (twitter) or Hozelock on Facebook. Best wishes.

Hozelock 1313-0000 pond filter, clips won't clamp

I have exactly the same unit as you and also suffered the seized clip problem. I found this was due to debris (fine grit) getting lodged under the clip hinges ands the easiest way to get rid was to flush it out with a high pressure water jet. also you need to make sure that the large "O" ring is seated properly. The clips latch easier when a downward force is placed on the top.
Hope this helps.

I have a hozelock bioforce filter that i have

Sounds like the the bypass valve may have been disturbed and so water is coming out of the air bleed hole.

I suggest you turn off the pump, remove the bypass valve cover (clear part that quater turns off bayonet style), extract the red valve (careful not to lose spring), rub some pertoleum jelly (vaseline) around the seal of the red valve, replace spring, red valve, press the red valve a few times to ensure it returns, replace clear cover and turn pump back on.

This should ensure the valve is working.

Servicing a koi pond filter - Hoselock Bioforce

You can backflush it. Just swap the intake hose over to the outlet hose, then put the outlet hose on the intake. Don't forget to remove the outlet hose from the pond. Run the pump for a minute or so. Then switch the hoses back.
If it's real dirty, turn the pump off and take the outlet hose out of the pond, then undo the clips on top of the filter and lift of the top, then clean the sponges. Re-assemble.
