My electric Karcher pressure washer is misbehavin'.
When I press the trigger it starts fine but then the pressure drops off, then comes back , then drops off etc etc etc
After several minutes of this it stays full on pressure and I can run it for a good 20 mins or so without a hiccup.
But the moment I release the trigger and then squeeze again the hiccups start again.
Various forums says its the unloader valve - but do I replace or just regrease ??

This is normal. The high-pressure car washer has certain dangers. If the water column of his spray gun is aimed at people, it will stab people. If the switch is turned on and spray water, then the pressure of the spray gun head will be sprayed around, which will accidentally hurt people. people, so it's designed this way.
your going to have to email the company directly so that you might get it replaced if you have warranty on the product here is the email address and phone number [email protected] & 01295 752 000
check your lance nozzle is not blocked... Remove the lance from the trigger assy and see if you have water coming through then. If you do then the nozzle is blocked :@)
The spill valve operates at approx 20% higher than specified pressure washer operating pressure. If you have any lance issues then the pressure could be running higher than specified (machine running at same pressure as spill valve operation pressure)
your machine produces a fixed flowrate of water (maybe 8 litres per minute) and your nozzle is a fixed size. the diameter of the nozzle determines the back pressure. A piece of debris could further close your nozzle orifice and increase the back pressure. Using a new lance that has the wrong nozzle fitted can also cause this issue.
The karcher barcode is on a silver sticker and is usually 15 digits long. Example 156987400000123 is actually model 1.569-874.0 and serial number 00123....
There is orobably a minor water leak on the output side of the pump. The pump is sensing a pressure drop due to the leak so it will run for short periods to maintain the pressure i the output line.
HI Your machine wil start and stop if you have any external leaks when the machine is running at not pressing the trigger. Please start the machine and not pull the trigger and look form leaks. A common one is around the high pressure hose outlet and also the trigger.
Sounds like the pressure valve is broken thats why you cant depress the trigger , the valve is on the pump , i would suggest taking it to a repair shop as they are fiddly things to fix
