Tamron 28-300 mm f/3.5-6.3 LD IF - rear piece broken

The rear piece that mounts on 3 small screws is broken and finally got seperated. Is it possible to buy just this piece and replace it? If so, from where do I get it? supertester777 AT (google's mail) DOT COM

I am at Sacramento and will visit the local authorized repair center. I dont expect a reasonable quote and hence I posted it here. Also ordered a part from eBay for - though I wont bet heavily on this.

Is a tamron 28-300 F/3..5-6.3 AFC adaptable to my canon T3I?

Tamron makes their lenses with a variety of camera mounts. If the lens has a Canon mount then it will work fine on your T3i. If it has another mount then it will need an adapter, and you will lose some functionality (probably autofocus and autoexposure).

What nikon camera will this mount to

Tamron is a third party lens manufacturer and make lenses to fit all popular makes of cameras both film and digital. I'm sure the top two would be Canon and Nikon. So if the lens you have there is a Nikon Mount it will fit Nikon Auto Focus cameras both film and digital

28-200mm F/3.8-5.6 LD Aspherical autofocus does this lens fit Canon 40 d?

Tamron makes their lenses available with a variety of mounts. A lens with a Canon mount will fit Canon cameras but not Nikon cameras. A lens with a Nikon mount will fit Nikon cameras but not Canon cameras. As long as you buy a lens with a Canon mount, you shouldn't have any problems.

Minolta 7000 Maxxum

The Minolta Maxxum 7000 uses a Minolta A mount, which is also used on the Sony Alpha series, as they bought out Minolta's technology. All Maxxum lenses should work for the most part on the Sony Alpha series of DSLR's, including the autofocus.
