Don't ever buy another USB cable for any camera MariamAli. Buy San Disks mini card reader MobileMate SD+, plug your mem card, SD,SDHC, or MicroSD, into it, then plug MobileMate directly into your USB port.

Saves lugging around a bulky, and unique, USB Cable and saves on your camera battery power, that otherwise is needed to power USB Cable download from camera.

Available at RadioShack, Staples, and most anywhere SD Mem Cards are sold. $15 it think.

Wriggly USB port

Typically this is the beginning of the end for your player. However there are some things to try. You can take a pair of pliers and bend ever so slightly as USB cable so that it places pressure on the bottom part of the connection on your MP3 player. I would try this with a cable you don't care for. I wouldn't suggest doing anything with the player. So many users bring my their blackberries that have the same issue. Most users do not come back to see me for quite a while or until the device is dead. These devices require tight connections, the only other option is pressure and that is what bending the plug does. Lastly, notice the two little notches that come from the wider side of the metal part of the USB connection. Are they protruding up even slightly? That may tell you something is wrong with your USB cables.

My granddaughter has a 2009 discovery kids camera, but has no instruction booklet and also no usb cable...what size usb do i need and where can i locate one and an instruction booklet thank you

Hello, your instruction booklet could be retrieved by asking the company to send you a copy. When it comes to the USB cable, there is only one size when it comes to USB cables, so any USB cable you have should work with it. Those can be located at your local store.

I need a usb cable for a polaroid digital camera for a i1038 model

I tried to find a picture of the USB jack on your camera, but I could only find low resolution types, so I couldn't determine the connector style. You can attempt to locate one by bringing the camera to a local radio Shack, Best Buy, Fry's, etc. to compare the jack to the cables offered at the store.

Some of the more popular styles are shown below:

steve_con_79.jpg
Some of the USB connectors from left to right; Micro B plug (Micro USB), Mini B plug (Mini USB), Type B plug, Type A jack, and Type A plug.

The micro b and mini b are standard and found "on the shelf" at most of the stores mentioned above - and are used in many smaller (hand held size) or portable USB devices. The type b plug is a common style for printers and other larger devices. The last two are the ends of a standard USB extension cable. The plug is connected to a standard USB jack in most modern computers and allows the jack end to be placed at a convenient location on a desktop etc. to connect a device without having to crawl around the back of the computer on the floor for a jack.

If unable to locate a cable locally, try Polaroid directly, below:

Which cables are required for HP laserjet 1010

Hi,
2 Cables are required. First to connect the printer to the computer (USB Cable) and second to connect the printer to the power source (Power Cable). These can be bought from any Computer Accessories store. Below is the picture of the USB cable. The normal USB plug (on the left) goes to the USB Post of the PC and the square one at the right should be connected to the printer.

I need the usb

You will have to buy a printer USB cable from either an online source such as Amazon.com or head to your local computer shop or local big box store to buy one. If you tell them you need a printer USB cable they will know what you are talking about. Look at the back of the printer where the USB plugs in and make a note of the shape and size of the plug so that when you go out to get one you know whether it is the right one or not.
Good Luck.

I'm missing the printer cable for my i860 (got lost in the last move) and am unable to find a replacement in any of the local stores. Where can I get a new one?

The cable you need is not a special cable at all. You have two choices that you can use with the i860, USB or Parallel.

The easiest and most available is a USB cable which can be found most anywhere. Here's an example of what you're looking for at WalMart...

I have lost my power cord to my LaCie DVD+RW Dual Layer....

Here is the PDF Users Manual for the LaCie DVD+RW 301230U
external optical drive,

http://www.lacie.com/download/manual/portable_dvd_sh_en.pdf

(Give it at least 10 seconds to download)
Should the direct link above not work for you, you can download the Users Manual from here,

http://www.generalmanual.com/Disc-Burners/LaCie-301230U-Portable-DVD-RW.htm

Go down to the bottom of the page, and under the green -> Download Now <- heading, click on -> User Manual
The reason I posted the link to the User Manual, is that you can use a USB to USB cable for power. You plug one end of the USB cable, into an available USB port on your computer, and the other end, into the LaCie DVD+RW external optical drive. (You need two available USB ports on your computer. One for power, and one to connect the LaCie external optical drive. This USB cable, is called an Interface cable)

The USB end, that goes into your computer, (Laptop or Desktop computer), is the USB A style end. (Male) This is what it looks like,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:USB_TypeA_Plug.JPG

The USB end, that plugs into the Lacie optical burner drive, is a USB Mini-B style end. (Male) It looks like this,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:USB_types_2.jpg
It is the second one from the left side.

Where I'm at, we have Walmart stores. At Walmart they sell a USB adapter kit, made by Philips. This kit has a USB A to USB A cable, that both ends are Male. This cable is on a little retractable reel. The reel is about the size of a USA fifty cent piece. In the kit are five different styles of USB adapter ends. They just plug on that USB A to USB A style cable. (On the small reel) One of those adapter ends is a Mini-B USB male end. It has a Female USB A socket on one side, and a Male USB MIni-B end, on the other side. The kit sells for about $12 dollars.

Should you find that somehow, this USB power cable does not give enough power to your LaCie external optical burner drive, then here is LaCie.com, Products, Support & Downloads, and the Power Supply, for your LaCie DVD+RW 301230U external optical drive,
