Dear expert pos machine(ibm SureOne100 Type : 4613-118) My machine can print in English characters. but I need to print arabic words instead. i had try to print the 864 codepage characters it's printing all fine. but cannot print correctly in arabic words. i'm using opos 1.09 Any advice? thank you rene Boy cubio powerbuilder Developer
Looks like its running on IBM PC DOS. code page 708 - arabic. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc195061.aspx however if you are using windows, then you may need an arabic windows, just adding an arabic languge file wont help. IBM PC Dos doesnt have an arabic option. you can download the ibm surepos 100 4613 technical reference manual which is what i did for you. but it no help in that arabic is not an option. research using arabic with DOS. because your keyboard is basically a PC one working in DOS.

You might want to go the printer properties and look for a option called gutter. Increase the value of this setting. This tells you the distance that should be left on the left side margin.

Hi, It's been a while since I worked on these, so I'll go out on a limb (as far as my rating goes) and say that the few times I've seen that happen usually results from a bad network card. Now you may not be using a network card, so if your not then I'm not really sure what would cause that to happen on the printer side. The environments that I've seen that happen in are with an AS400 and the network card just gave out. You most likely tried this, but you might want to make sure that the computer isn't using one driver for both printers. Good luck.

if it printing trash more than likely you have a driver problem, where are you getting the driver for your printer?
try to look for another driver and test by going to ibm's website:
