I am Kiran, just now am trying to install in my laptop (windows 7 ultimate) the Plustek OpticSlim M 12 USB scanner thru Driver CD provided with scanner, but it is not success. Could you please assist me, how to install the scanner driver for Windows 7 Ultimate OS ?

Hi There Firstly When You Install A Driver You Have To Edit Screen Res Your Self Some Times. Give It a Try First If It Dont work Id Be Happy To Offer Further Assistance.
Chances are the printer didn't come with drivers for Windows 7.
If you have Windows 7 Ultimate x32/86, click here.
If you have Windows 7 Ultimate x64, click here.

This is an old scanner, no Win7 driver has been made for it by Plustek. You will have to buy a new scanner or install XP Mode in Win7 and load the scanner in it.
Windows 7 ultimate has the capability to search and install drivers on it's own. Please attempt to connect your hardware while connected to internet and allow windows too search for the driver your problem will be fixed.

i assume you upgraded the operating system to windows 7 ultimate using a retail copy of disc. vgnfj270/b only supports windows xp and vista home basic.
this model of vaio doesnt have a camera driver and software for windows 7 ultimate. check this link
I do not see a Windows 7 driver. If the Vista driver isn't working, even in the compatability mode, try installing the XP mode (a virtual machine available in both Win7 Pro and Ultimate) and install the scanner there. You may need to save the files to an external media to share them between the "machines".
HP does not have a driver for this scanner with either Vista or Windows 7. One workaround is available in Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate. You can set up the XP mode and install the scanner within the virtual computer. Scanned files may need to be put on an external drive to transfer them between the two "computers".
