Dell 3200mp this machine when power on only small light is emitting, nothing on the screen.this happends when somebody switched off before cooling.the brightness of the bulb is very poor [email protected]

There area few things that may be wrong.

1. The display setting might be off. You can try hitting the FN key and one of the F# keys at the top. With Dells, they are usually F6 or F7. It will look like a small monitor is on it. You may need to hit it several times, depending on your laptop.

2. Your display (LCD screen) might have experienced a black-light problem. This you would have to call up Dell for support. I hope you are still under warranty for this. Otherwise, it will be very expensive to replace. Don't worry your documents are safe, the display and files are two separate things.

3. Your motherboard has crashed and might be having some issues. For this, call Dell technical support for warranty information.

I suggest you don't go to the worst case-scenario first. Try going from steps 1-2-3... not 3-2-1.

are both of the lamps the same? have you installed it correctly in the socket. you might need to do a cold start for your projector. unlpugg it and try to wait for 5 minutes before plugging it again and turning it on. one your projector detected that a new lamp is intalled, it should work fine now. but if its still not working, you might want to try and replace the new lamp again. sometimes this happens.

The ambient temperature in the room is to high.
Try lowering the room temperature. If that doesn't work
get a small fan and place it near the projector to provide
extra cooling. The projector is running border line on
high temperature and just needs a little extra cooling.

Once your display of the projector is set( all connection to computers via cables is done), then all the display settings remain with the source i.e. the laptop.

You will need to set all your laptops to the correct display properties. This you can do by either going to presentation mode or on Window XP you can simply go on to your desktop and right click > go to properties>go to setting> press display 2 and set the screen resolution as per your projectors resolution and enjoy. ( for information: display1 is the resolution meant for your laptop)

Clarification: When you "switch off" the unit, does the light stay on, but the steamer itself shut off (cools off to no steam)? If this is the case, only the LED does not light (which will not affect actual performance, other than being a "false" indicator driving some users crazy) like an Engine light that stays on in your car. It is likely a bad connection rather than a bad LED (Light Emitting Diode indicator). If the steamer portion is powered on all the time regardless of the switch position, try turning the temperature settings all the way down on the base and iron before unplugging unit to prevent the arcing (sparks) from damaging the input AC plug.

Solution: you will need a small Security Torx Bit/Driver to take unit far enough apart to inspect, troubleshoot and determine cause. You will also need an analog or digital multi-meter to check the unplugged unit' switch using self-powered ohm-out (continuity check) function, testing forward & reverse diode for lo & hi resistance reading respectively, (if you use the Rx1 range, the diode will glow slightly in one direction if it is good & you use an old analog meter). If you are so inclined or know somebody into electronics to do this, you can get these tools at Harbor Freight for $10-$20, good luck and keep in touch.

start your laptop first then your projctor-if the problem still excit-press-control+f4 or control+f6 or control+f7
