Want to buy earphones. What connection on the lead is needed to connect to system?

As an addition to Tom's answer:
The two main headphone connector types are the 3,5mm jackplug (the one that fits in most mp3-players and cellphones) and the 6,3mm common headphone jackplug.

I have an old Denon stereo receiver DRA - 565 RD. Do you know how I can connect my iPhone to the receiver to play music from my iPhone?

You need a 3,5mm male stereo connector to RCA male jacks (see attached image). Plug the 3.5mm jack to your iPhone and the RCA jacks (red & white or red & black) to your Denon Receiver's CD in or Tape 1 or 2 PB (at the rear of the unit). Then select the input where you plugged the RCA to (front of receiver: CD / Tape-2 / Tape-1). Hope this will help. 25303676-z0ul41frrnrex4ege2epffps-1-0.jpg

I need a usb cable for a polaroid digital camera for a i1038 model

I tried to find a picture of the USB jack on your camera, but I could only find low resolution types, so I couldn't determine the connector style. You can attempt to locate one by bringing the camera to a local radio Shack, Best Buy, Fry's, etc. to compare the jack to the cables offered at the store.

Some of the more popular styles are shown below:

steve_con_79.jpg
Some of the USB connectors from left to right; Micro B plug (Micro USB), Mini B plug (Mini USB), Type B plug, Type A jack, and Type A plug.

The micro b and mini b are standard and found "on the shelf" at most of the stores mentioned above - and are used in many smaller (hand held size) or portable USB devices. The type b plug is a common style for printers and other larger devices. The last two are the ends of a standard USB extension cable. The plug is connected to a standard USB jack in most modern computers and allows the jack end to be placed at a convenient location on a desktop etc. to connect a device without having to crawl around the back of the computer on the floor for a jack.

If unable to locate a cable locally, try Polaroid directly, below:

Want to connect pc speakers and subwoofer to lg37lc55 tv unfortunaly it doesnt have an earphone 3.5 connection point. My other smaller tv does, the speakers and subwoofer consist of a white and red audio...

Hello,
Your TV should have an AUDIO OUTPUT other than optic..at least " Headphones" output..
You can connect TV audio output with a RCA cable.
white and red audio jack....
since SUB has both RCA and "3,5mm Headphone female Jack"..here are the options;
** you need to buy a cable one end 3,5mm MALE headphone jack and the other end 2xRCA stereo (or 1x RCA for mono or you may need "Y cable " ) to be connected to your TV...
** or 2x RCA
white and red audio jack and connect from your TV..
**" "Headphones" output to SUB with 3,5 male-to-male cable ( the least recommended)
And you need to connect front, centre and rear speakers to your SUB as well...
Take care and if it succeeds please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up
for Helping out the Community :)

Hope this helps!

Bose speak cable was accidentally pulled out of computer and I cannot understand how/where to plug it back in. Dell xps 420

The 3,5mm jack from your speakers must be connected at the GREEN 3,5mm female jack (at the back panel of your dell, NEAR the blue, orange and black jacks, just above the USB connectors). Maybe this photo will help you:

In case you have another audio card and you're not using the onboard with the computer, the connections is a little different. In that case post a reply to clarify for you.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

I need the red/white speaker cords with a pin on other end to hook up bose speakers on my computer

Does a regular 3,5mm headphone plug plugs in? if yes, you can use the standard cable found in every electronics store. If it is smaller, an adapter could be needed. that adapter is as easy to find. Explain the case to Electronic store salesman, or better, show them to him/her.

No sound on viewsonic VG730m

you have to connect it via audio cable.
you need a cable with two 3,5mm stereo jacks. this you have to connect with the stereo output of your computer (mostly the green one) with the audio jack on your monitor. it's somewhere on the back i think. sound / volume control you do in windows - its the same as if you connect normal stereo speakers to your computer.
(perhaps you have to unmute or to raise the volume in the monitors os menu)
