Is there a installation disk along with the ADVC-55? If there is, install that installation disk in order that the Windows 7 will recognize the hardware or the ADVC-55. After installing the installation disk, you can now connect the ADVC-55 in your desktop.

Is the canon powershot sd450 compatible with windows 7 operating system

The camera doesn't care what operating system you have on your computer. It'll work fine with no computer at all, for that matter.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I have a Handycam dcr hc21 but windows 7 64 do not recognize it, please!!!! any solution for this problem

http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=Sony%20Handycam%20DCR-HC21%20MiniDv%202.5LCD%2020X%20Camcorder&v=Sony&uid=DCR-HC21&l=en-US&pf=0&pi=2&c=Cameras%20%26%20Photo&sc=Camcorders&os=64-bit

As you can see at the above link, this camcorder is not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. Don't worry, you have two options:

1) Switch to Windows 7 32-bit

2) Get a analog to digital converter. Basically, a box that takes the yellow, red, white connections out of your camera (using the cable that came with camera) and converts it to a firewire connection to your computer.

A good converter box: http://www.amazon.com/Hardware-ADVC-55-d-Converter-Ntsc/dp/B000HGVZG0/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1299245595&sr=1-7

Hope this helps.

Its says , you may be a victim of software counterfeiting and this copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validatio.. and my dest top turn black.. pls help me to fix it.

Hi

If you install copy of WIndows XP operating system, do not update it or get update it through internet as it will detect that you are using counterfeiting or pirated software. Just reinstall again the operating system and this time do not get update from internet when installing. Ever it pop up to your computer, just ignore it. Otherwise, that will appear.

Good Luck.
