Having problem with getting hotmail passing my name & password

For saving passwords get a program called Robo form, it will automatically save paswords when you sign in, & you only need 1 password to access Robo form, it will also store personal data & card data for you.

Log onto the hotmail account. Click on the thumbnail on the right top corner of the page (the one with the user name and display picture) > account settings>security & password under Account.

Click on forgot password, and you will have options to change password.

In the right hand corner on the hotmail homepage you should see help center down in the bottom right hand corner tab click on that another page will open you should see another help center click on that again another page will open with account , calender , contacts, essentials Click on the account tab another page will open with if you have forgotten your password or are having trouble signing in yet another page will open get help with your password problem or signing in click on it you should see something like I forgot my password or I know my password but am having trouble signing in I think someone else is using my hotmail account at the sign in for your hotmail account click on forgot password tab another page will open then on the reset password tab Hope this helps.

Create a new account using your old hotmail name. You'll have to use a different password. That should get you into your old account

I have the following (and complete) list of settings on my Jet for my hotmail account and it is receiving and sending emails correctly. (After seeing 6 posts and none with a full solution, something needs to be done .. RAGE!!)
Account name - "random name" SMTP sever - smtp.live.com SMTP port - 25 Secure Connection - TLS Incoming Server Type - POP3 POP3 Server - pop3.live.com POP3 port - 995 APOP login - unchecked Secure connection - SSL Download limit - 50 IMAP4 incoming email - New (faded out tho) Retrieving option - Subject only Keep on server - checked My address - [email protected] User name - [email protected] Password - **my hotmail acc password** POP before SMTP - unchecked SMTP auth. - checked Same as POP3/IMAP4 - unchecked User name - [email protected] Password - **my hotmail acc password**
Some tech info to help problem solve. POP3 is the technology involved with receiving email, SMTP is involved with sending. (Lots of people saying they could receive but not send, but their SMTP settings weren't correct)

Ok, go to http://hotmail.com
Click "Forgot my password"
- Enter your secret answer and then it should tell you your new password.

If you have an alternate email, ask hotmail to send this to your other email, and that'll contain the password. I hope this helped.
